ah ha. gotcha! thanks.

How does one get the drop-down list in the configuration dialogue to be populated with various backgrounds? I'm at a total loss for how that works.
windowblinds should not be able to skin the mozilla scrollbars seeing as mozilla uses a proprietary widget system which makes for it to be cross-platform and maintain the same look and feel across all platforms. windowblinds will not skin phoenix scrollbars either. however, phoenix themes are allowed to skin the scrollbar.
i've never had issues with windowblinds and mozilla. i have yet to figure out why mozilla is a stardock set application exception.
that is what i ended up doing in order to download.
anyone ever run in to the problem where component manager just does not bother to display a list of available components? i just reinstalled winxp and all the updates, then component manager. updated with my serial number and see the begin and end dates of my subscription on the "user information" page. i can view latest news no problem. however, when i click on "available components" i get nothing. server says "servername" and status says "status" and then no components are displayed,
if it is a completely seperate domain, regardless of what backend supplies the content, the fact is that it is another site. because of this stardock should be up front about the fact that they make content submitted to wincustomize available on xpthemes. another thing i do not like is the fact that xpthemes has never been officially endorsed or announced by stardock, which makes me feel as if there is something about xpthemes that they do not want to disclose. i am not one for conspira
hell dragon just said exactly what it is that bothers me about xpthemes.
same database: yes different look: yes completely different domain: yes it is the latter that upsets me, considering that there has been no notification of such when submitting here on wincustomize.
i understand that however there is no mention anywhere on wincustomize that says that submissions here are also available at xpthemes.net. furthermore, xpthemes.net makes no mention of an affiliation with stardock. this, i do not like.
what exactly is xpthemes.net and how is it affiliated with stardock and wincustomize? i was under the impression that when i submitted my work to wincustomize that it was solely available on wincustomize and not some other archaic websites that are run by stardock, which they would rather not announce to the community. did anyone else know that their work is up on xpthemes.net or am i the only clueless one here? ><img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/mad.gif" border=0 ALI

we never banned AOL from deviantART. what we did do, however, is ban AOL users from signing up for new accounts. the existing accounts that were being used by AOL users remained intact and any AOL IP could browse the site.
...as does desktopx
another odd thing that i have noticed with objectdock is that if my screensaver activates and i come back to the computer later then objectdock is no longer running. it just goes bye bye all by itself. this happens both on windows xp and windows 2000 boxes of mine. both are running desktopx so i am not sure if it is limited to running objectdock with desktopx or not. another thing, speaking of desktopx, is that if i first load desktopx, or objectbar, and then attempt to load objectdock
i've noticed that no matter what i do i can not, for the life of me, get the label for mirc to change to anything other than mirc.exe. if i change it while the dock is running then the label changes but if i close the dock and restart it then the label is back to mirc.exe. weird.
w00t! reshacker to the rescue. now i am a happy campah!
ah ha. using reshack sounds like a smart idea!
w00t! http://www.deviantart.com/view/921551 now if there was only a way to change the color of the background that the icons sit on then i would be happier!
are there are apps out there that are merely system trays? i guess an extremely minimal hoverdesk theme or objectbar theme could suffice for this task. /me goes looking for some goodies ...
thanks grog. that worked like a charm! koasati: if you use iconpackager then it is included.
what is a good application to use to extract icons from an .icl file? i need to snatch them icons from treetog's copperdeck 2 icon library file so that i can use em with this lovely baby?
how about the system tray? it's, like, gone if you hide the taskbar so i would suggest adding the ability to add a system tray area to the dock.
neat skin but what are you showing us?
