Reply to 1.6 game crushes when I try to move on from Galaxy Setup when starting a new game in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

Had this problem as well. Luckily I am very new to the game so deleting the prefs.ini file was not a huge deal. (and it did the trick) This would be something I hope the Stardock team looks at for future update releases. Or perhaps releases a hot-fix. I could understand some real frustration by those who value that file. Still ever happy with my GalCiv2 purchase. Just need to create my custom race again...
