Raising one i would think of as a quest reward like a randomly spawning incredibly rare as in you might get it or you might not only one per game or less *sometimes one per 2 or 3 games* and the quest be a difficult but rewarding one where you can choose to either A Fight a dragon and take eggs from it's lair *you get 2 eggs plus gold if you succeed but you have to fight an elder dragon...victory is really not an option* you can try and steal it but once again easy way to die. <

Actually what you just described would be considered 'Local' as the Local resource system is not self sustaining cities as it seems everyone has them confused it refers to the fact that resources are transported along the network and take time and money to go and trade exists etc. it is actually based more on the model you just gave Los Vegas actually has to import food water etc. but it then generates revenue as a large commercial area. Yep i say Recruiting Out. But Hatching yes. Also one final Idea. A Summoned dragon as part of a special spell requiring a special item or quest to be performed this spell summons a dragon.However it can only be performed once and consumes said item or becomes unavailable after use. Yes they explained it the food and housing is already explained by poster above me. And race customization and clothing etc. is for later when they enable the empire as well as make more touches. Also their considering reequipping the sov to change appearence *armor weapons etc.* so yes oh and of course you can customize your entire empire/kingdoms people from races to colors etc. Also their going to allow high moddability.

I love the Beta although like Myles says crashes keep it abit unfun overal it's Great. you can definitely tell its shaping into an awesome game..although the argument on economics made some of us mad overall its all good.

Riding a dragon should be something more 'Special' I think a quest which gets you a dragon egg which only spawns randomly some games will have it some won't and you have to perform a quest to get it *Like to prove to an elder dragon your responsibile enough for the egg orto steal it etc.* And then you can raise it and over time it gives you the ability to ride it. Or at least control it.

Hopefully it's as Tasunke said i like that system. and yes i hope for aligned dragons like fire wind water death etc. Earth dragons should be Big with no wings and underground based lol.

I actually like this version but on the older one *last version* i was able to reach turn 759! and on the new 1Z even with all the updates currently available i cannot reach turn 120. Which while it's still nice is just abit too buggy. I'm not going to complain i know it's beta but i wanted to add my input.

Well I am still going to take part in the forums and help out as much as possible i simply am angry over this and will not ever settle on the issue. For now i will shut up and when modding comes around we'll make a mod with local resources and compare the two. Until then we will simply have to be silent over it because the game designers decided to run counter to what the majority *I believe the majority* Wanted which is fine i just will not admit

If you took polls and could show me numbers to prove your statement it would have been alright they did that for sins of a solar empire but did you no? Oh and i'm sorry for messing up the spelling of the title just was playing and only came out to say that lol. Oh and I still support local resources but...i guess they've made up their minds and ignored us. While i would get angry over it i understand their decision still make's me ticked off though first time stardock ever did this to us testers.

I just wanted to say that even after seeing it i still vote for local resources over global even though they are fun. I mearly wanted to show those whom said after the beta the argument would die that they were wrong. Off to playing game some more lol.
