Yes Magic+materials and alignment/faction all combine to create special requirments to unlock the hidden wonders and you could have since tech randomly unlocks sometimes *Theres tech that'll be in one game and not in another* and items too that means theoretically you could have mega or special wonders that are only in 1 game out of like 5.
Sethfc
Well we could simply make it One armor piece 4 rings one necklace 1 pair of boots one pair of gloves/gauntlets one helmet 3 weapons *one for both sides and one on your back* or 2 weapons and one shield. I think that covers it. This is like the old system from heroes of might and magic but its a good one it works its solid has always been used and isn't a b**ch in single or multiplayer *I only care about single*
Well a mix of mega events and diplomacy should be possible... I just like mega events they were a great part of galciv and they made some of the end game suddenly more difficult.
Forum glitch made it double post. Sorry.
Sorry to go abit offtopic but i do love the artwork of elemental...so beautiful and charming. yet realistic not like some 'cartoony' graphics but not too gritty...more real and yet more fantasy very alluring.
One reason why i love stardock..bought a game on stardock central 3 years ago...can still download it today whenever i want and be told if there's updates. Gotta love stardock. PS: Sorry for the little 'i love stardock' post it just needed to be said.
Actually one thing about 'Abandonedware' Because Atari dropped their support for the game and dropped everything involving MoM they own the franchise but not the rights to that game they do for commercial use but privately downloading it is totally legal and DOS emulator's are also legal. Although mostly through loopholes a decent lawyer would get you out of it if they tried. But no one would ever try to sue you for 'stealing' MoM if they did they
Its good to see Rikaze building on my concepts i will now build on one of his lol. Moral. When in enemy territory for a war thats considered 'unjustified' to the people they should get a penalty *Unjustified reffering to a sudden declaration of war without any reason* to their moral but at the same time if defending a bonus. Now for any war in enemy territory they get a penalty but it's lessened if your an evil kingdom or if
Yes well i think we should leave this one to the Dev's even if its just cometic i like multi races.
Well the option i described is pretty similar to galciv's rare 'Mega' events which could shift the balance of the game i'm not saying they should happen every game or often at all I'm just saying a chance would be awesome then it'd be like a book or movie in that at the last minute good or evil or your side or their side pulls out a bluff card.
Yes but give them the ability to intercept d**n it.
That doesn't make much sense..
Lol Well its like if you had native plants that were aggressive and your a nature/earth/water or whatever mage you could grow Carnivourious plants on tiles as a natural barrier that would kill soldiers trying to pass through *or they'd have to fight a battle to get past* Just examples.
Well No i meant as in something YOU have your people find a NEW use for to make an ultra weapon or something similar to destabalise the enemy. Example. Your people have a large amount of copper and iron but your enemy is defeating your armies because you simply cannot match his quality of soldiers. Your people mix the two and create folded steel while sure others have steel you have Folded steel which allows you to choose 3
Um if you read my post They did. Also women have been dominate several times in history and have been shown in cultures like Egypt etc. its just that overall they've been excluded.
Because Microing would mean the A.I govenor's wouldn't make all the decisions Because they would all have their own independent A.I plus leaving things up to them allows them to rebell easier or have rivalry's where as doing it yourself makes it less plus even WITH A.I turned on you COULD still micro somethings to ensure YOUR plans go ahead the way you want them it simply takes the stress off.
Awesome idea Tridus. I just noticed this post again lol.
Well you know they could give soldiers 'Raider packs' Which were used by the vikings in a way *Sacks and satchels to store plundered goods in divided evenly between troop's a share was taken from them upon returning home and divided by their lord' It works in a similar fashion perhaps?
Well bonuses to those that move out because they have had time to fortify the countryside with traps and defenses etc. *based on Commanders/fort leaders skills* Would be nice.
Lol Yeah John i could sacrifice one or two complex features if i had to but in all honesty. I do not want to give one inch to simplicity. As for Tridus I agree debate is healthy and wonderful i was simply saying that i hoped no one went all 'Bit**y' about it and decided it was too much to handle or something seen people do that before and its ridiculous.
Oh no i simply meant Achievements In game that unlocked a special spell or DEV secret or something fun not anything critical to gameplay just jokes and little things like stardock is known for.
All of the reply's.. *Heart warms* I'm glad to see so many people taking an interest in the game and helping it shape up lol. But seriously it's nice to have more people to discuss these things with. And to see those that are here participating more.
Well alot of us do know 'First hand' from experience with MANY Fantasy Strategy Roleplaying games AOW CIVFFH2 etc. Not to mention Heroes, Lords of might and magic, And many others. Not to be dismissive towards anyone i know that everyone here has a mind and thinks and their opinion is to be respected because so long as one takes the time to formulate one at all. One at least thought about their ideal's and they deserve to be respected.
An online In game 'Wiki-ish' thing is okay but i would like to have a nonedited section that describes basic game formula and some such available as well as roughly 60% of the games content *I want there to be things that supprise me even if i read the whole thing*
How about a compromise Tasunke? Zones of control are instead an army where Smaller armies can choose to fight or not etc. and large armys can choose to stall entire legions if necessary and depending on the skill of the fort commander different bonuse's/effects come into play?
