Great skin! Thanks!!

Glad to see the fixes for x64. [e digicons][/e]
Did everyone just jump over my post which had a complete solution until Stardock fixes this?
Your solution did not work for me. I tried it after seeing it in another thread. [e digicons][/e]
Just curious to know why people are uninstalling IP
I uninstalled it because it "borked" my icons on Vista64. After installing IP on Vista64 multiple icons on the computer were just blank. I could manually change some of them back, but then they would revert back to blank. I had to do a system restore to get all my icons back. I like IP and have used it for many years, it just didn't work on my new computer.
We are looking a permananat solution now. Until we get a permanant fix here is a bat file that will unregister the shellext.dll file and address the issue. Save the file to your desktop, right click on the ip.bat file and then select Run As Administrator. Once run, the shellext.dll file will be unregistered and a reboot will be required. https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=downloadfile&downl
Lots of folks have reported problems with IP and Vista 64, myself included. Look at the forum for Stardock Support-Object Desktop-IconPackager. I could not find a workaround for the same problem before my Object Desktop subscription expired, so am left with no functioning IP program.
Nevermind - I found it. As luck would have it, though, my subscription expired today and I no longer have access to the full product downloads. Will have to wait until I resubscribe to OD - perhaps the bugs will be worked out by then....
Where do I download stardock central?
bmetelsky: go to regedit.exe (type in start menu search) and browse to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shellex and delete the IconHandler folder, reboot and it should be fixed.
What will be fixed? Will this allow me to use icon packager without the headaches of blank icons? I have the default icons back after doing a system restore. I really would like to use icon packager but it has not worked correctly for me in Vista 64.
My icons were also "mucked up" when installing icon packager. I uninstalled and tried again, but the problem was the same. I had to do a system restore and apparently cannot use icon packager with Vista 64.
Sorry for your loss. You and your family will be in my prayers.
Mine is to finally see an eye doctor and get some glasses.
All wonderful packs! I have to go and vote now...... ;)
Fuzzy, I also remain more of a fan of XP then Vista. Really, the only reason I even tried Vista was for the "bells and whistles" of a newer OS. I have found XP to be the most stable of MS operating systems for my use. We'll see what they offer next and how it compares, but until then I will keep my XP.
I never log out, yet I'm seeing it daily here....
Aero Midnight windowblind is also missing in action here. Windows XP Home, SP3. Latest WB and Theme Manager builds. Everything else in the suite works as promised. Is there a fix? I've tried rebooting.
For those who have not tried the software, I have one two words - simply amazing! I've been using the software for many years now. Great updates Jorge! I'm hoping to upgrade to the newest versions as soon as there are a few dollars to spare here.
yrag, thanks for that link. I won't be overclocking mine but I wanted to bump the fan speed up to help it cool. I also like that it displays the temps on my logitech keyboard.
Which logitech keyboard do you have?
Well put LightStar!
I believe that screenshots do not always do justice when it comes to "skinnables". If you don't have a particular hyperdesk suite, or windowblind, or icon package installed on the computer in front of you, then I believe that it may be hard for you to really critique it.
vStyler - it is all about opinions, isn't it? By the way - I was using your Vienna 3 - Rapture blind prior to trying out the Hyperdesk stuff. In my opinion, that was one of the best windowblinds ever made. I would have paid for that one.....It will likely remain one of the best in my small collection.
To me those things really aren't necessities, to each his own I guess.
Ditto here...
Anyway...also no toolbar icons either or file animations, transparency, perpixel frames or shutdown screens.. etc... When you cut out most of the more difficult and time consuming elements in skinning you would think that whats left to skin would be amazing.
There are logoff and shutdown dialogue boxes that are skinned. The work on all elements may not fit your criteria for amazing, but the suite that I'm using is really good. Again, there are multiple variations
I thought it was worth the $9.95. I guess that's what matters in the end. ;)
Not sure how many icons. It skinned all of the ones that I need....
