Its called tech edit for DA its found in the library and if your using TA just go into your program files find the tools section copy the tech editor program to a pen drive.It should work anywhere ive used it on other computers works fine.

Hi people Iv'e been busy with the futurama mod done much work first thing is ive added about 5 more techs to the research victory.I got tired of the minor races researching it than I have to wipe them out in order to keep them from winning.Also added about ten more improvements to boot you should be quite happy with it.

If you use that method it should work but the models themselves wion't work if your using TA there DA only I remember because TA was a few months from launch.

You need a 3d modeling program 3ds max is the best and works quite well with gc2 The cheapest one that I know of. Is unwrap 3d its very easy to use and you don't need any plugins for x-format plus you can convert multiple formats with it best of all its only 50 bucks.I don't know if you can add hardpoints with havenin't tried hope this helps you some.

to answer both of your questions yes major game events can be modded but just the name and maybe image you cain't change what they do.The best way to mod this is open the english Str file use notepad 2 I repeat use notepad 2 its really the only way open and save it right hope this helps you some.

I too had to wipe my hard drive recently But it wasin't a virus but my power supply couldin't handle everything I was running so it wasin't needed.But ohwell whats done is done order a newone should get it soon be glad when I do because I cain't play gc2 until I do it either freezes up our reboots.

the best way to make new planet improvements is to draw them on paper than scan them with your printer or scaning device Then finish them with the paint program of your choice.
