I've wondered about those things myself, but I don't take the time to figure it all out. The only thing I do know is that in order to pay an alien to go to war war, you offer money on your side and ask them to attack the race you want them to declare war on. Increase your money until they except and presto! you've just started a war.

I didn't take the time to read every reply on this thread or get enough money together to pre-order TA so it may have already been suggested/implemented: How about an option to give all races and equal tech tree? For instance, I play Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds still and it is really a lot more strategic when you and the computer have equivilent acesse to technology. I also think that more major races should be added ... so that there are more AI options to face.

Playing against the Korath is not something I do on a regular basis... (for good reason) Their military 786 Mine 23 Last game i only survived because I allied with them, which is another of my favorite strategies, ally with the strongest AI in the game and let them crush everyone.

I know this is really random, but isn't that what this section is for>? I've had an "ATOMIC CLOCK" for about six years and its always kept exact time as it was designed to do. Today it lost about ten minutes, and as of Jan. 23 continues to lose increasing amounts of time... What's up?

I find it incredibly interesting reading all sorts of different strategies. I tend to play as the Korath because they can build Spore Ships, which I know some people consider cheap. (Personally, I think that the AI underutilizes this) As the Korath, I never reasearch soldering techs (no need) I simply jump on the miniturization and engine branches and create super fast Spore Ships. I reasearch techs as i need and generally negotiate with other races for superior weapon tec

I've noticed the treaty problem too. I decided I would just uninstall the entire game and reinstall it. (get back to the good ol' days) I love the game and the new features in the updates are awsome, but I just wanted to get away from what has become very frustrating and tedious. I hope it resolves soon.
