That's because Canada does everything America does; just better.
Oh No! Personnel Opinions! Whatever shall we doooo!
It's not the devolopers choice where it sells, but rather the distributer.
queer normally means "gay" Kind of offtopic though :/
Robbin's idea would need trustful people to do it, but could be pretty interesting. Both a picture and a small write-up of what they did during it would be neat.
Basically; The user who wants to do this starts a new sins game, and takes a picture at the start. He posts the picture here, and asks the community what he should do A: Spend money on frigates B: Spend money on capital Ship + frigates C: Spend money on research stations D: Build mass scouts The community votes, and after X days, he tallies them up and does what the highest vote was. After he's gotten alittle further in the game, he repeats the same thing. A
It would probably fail, but it would be cool to see a "Choose your destiny" topic for sins, where the topic-maker (once a day or few days) updates his topic with a new picture and a new options out of 5 to choose from. The picture would show the galaxy; which planets he owns and ship count on them. Every 5-10 updates he would include an update of the tech tree (Or do it himself). The person would play for 20 minutes or so, or until something major happens, take a picture, sa

You can move on the Z-scale, I forgot the key that does it though.
Oh no! 200 credits and 5 seconds lost! It makes all the difference! I must be poised at the edge of my seat the entire game and plan every mouse movement out so it requires the least amount of time to get there! You'll need higher specs than minimum to play with these. Not only do the particles last longer, there's more of them which require extra processing power. But particles aren't too demanding, so most users will be able to play with them.
I laughed at the motto.
Very nice looking, I'll definetly use this mod!
To all the people saying it would be realistic to have scalable logistics; We're fighting in ****ing space, with ****ing sounds, with some big bad space empire on the ****ing run, and humans haven't had a ****ing war for a thousand years. Oh no, we better make those realistic! Gotta remove the sound and add some wars into it (making the tec much more warlike), and the chances of meeting an alien race are pretty slim, so we gotta remove the Vasari. And some PSI-ability race bent
I'm glad they have it this way; other whys games would last even longer, and adds some strategy to thinking ahead.
As far as I know, there isn't an effeciant way to 'degrade' a models polygon count. You can do it easily; it just won't look very pretty. Having multiple ships with varying polygon counts (low, medium, high) would be a waste of memory and time. This completely excludes texturing and UV (but that isn't as hard) I do wish sins had an option for shadows; having your planets fight in the shadow of a planet would be awesome!
When you zoom out (far enough so you see many planet icons and the star) you'll notice that planets aren't even with each other. That's the value (for individual planets) I want to change. Increasing the planet radius isn't a problem.
Is it possible to add a custom Z-scale to a spefic planet? Sins automatically does this, so it seems reasonable that it checks to see if a planet has a user-defined Z-scale. (Z-scale = elevation(?) difference in planets) I tried searching the forusm but returned nothing. If you guys are still confused to what I"m asking tell me and I'll make a more descriptive post.
Nice collection of money ya got there.
I'm sure there will be some 4-x mods soon!
Ban lists aren't too hard; since they log player IPs (which can be deciphered into player ID) and not allow certain IPs to connect to you.
It's a planet discovery, much like artifacts. Space ponies is an inside joke during the beta when people kept asking for pink space ponies and glass windows. Now, everyone stop acting like jerks to him.
Some people don't have 12 hours a day at their computers, and would rather leave when they know they've lost rather than waste an hour. I play online occasionally, and conversations help keep players in the game. Encourage the player to stay by saying "Try to keep him busy, I'll start attacking his planets and draw him away" or something similar.
