1.3 is worth it for the ai :/ (single player mostly here)

Now, onto unfair!
The AI handles badly on small maps. They do 500% better on much larger maps.
How old are you wolf? If you're 7 or so than the maps are pretty good for your age. Other whys they are fucking horrible. I wouldn't waste the time downloading these again.
I don't believe it is saviger. Email the ironclad support email (along with your cd key) and explain to them what happened.
If you want a fun physiological game, play Penumbra Tech Demo. http://frictionalgames.com/penumbradownload/ It's not very long, made me stop playing several times through. It did so well the devs (Frictional Games) decided to make a commercial version of it; Penumbra Overture (episode 1) and Penumbra Black Plague (episode 2)
Hey, everyone else ruined this patch. I submitted useful things based on my opinion and screamed and screamed since I knew they were right! Shame on you all.

You know, if you slowly made the text smaller and smaller; no one would notice. But keep in mind, most of the features that you listed work great in 4x games where you have ALOT of time. Sins is in real time, and the player's attention is already spread out enough.
What? People using strategy? NERF I SAY
Have you - Defragmented your computer Closed all background tasks Made sure your computer gets enough air Realize this is not a multi-million dollar team and is made more for lower-end computers than the .01% who spend all their money on their computer realize the world doesn't revolve around you and so on? It might help you in middle school.
Not even the AI likes me :( The AI seemed to have a strategy going on; Take out the repair bays and Fighter bays. When they first attacked me, they sent their entire fleet in to do this (at the time it was just light blue) I than started targeting his cap ship and he fled. I tried rebuilding the repair bays but their fighters raped me. Finally got some flackers in and that gave me enough cushion room to make some. From what I was seeing, it appeared t
I wasn't being sarcastic; I find it offensive how people are taking this as a joke.
The thing is, the AI realizes it can't win and that's why it retreats. If you tell it "Here's some pills, and trust me you'll win this battle!" it'll end up losing pretty badly, but laughing the whole time through. The AI has much much better management skills; it sometimes doesn't have the greatest fleet.
The devs were extremly rushed finishing this game up before it was released; adding a storyline would take alot of valuable time. One thing I want in the storyline though: Holding onto a 10-20 planet star, while enemy ships are arriving on all the outside planets and heading inward (kind of like how pirate invaders appear out of nowhere on their planet) Survive for 20 minutes or something like that.
This has not been fixed in 1.3; people are still using ships to win.
It's MUCH MUCH easier to program an AI for 4x games than an RTS game (yes, sins takes place in real time so it's considered RTS in major aspects) I've created a small one for one of my wc3 games where you try to trap a black-dot (AI) that moves around on a checkerboard. The players objective is to capture the black dot and make it impossible to move. The AI was pretty basic (only looked outward 5 spaces) but was difficult to trap it. In realtime though, it's much much h
I think the problem is that since you're not finishing the missions (who does?) the AI begins hating you so much they unite to kill you.
I disagree with increasing supply costs; other whys a scout will soon cost 20 supply points. LRM should keep it range; but have lower life (it should be more in the back of your fleet anyway).
Link to video?
Edix, could you give your system specs and make sure there's no background programs?
Orignal Poster; the world does not resolve around you. There are not teams of men making sure every package contains everything inside of it. There is not a special service dedicated to making sure everything is supposed to be as it should. Mistakes happen.
Small = -25% of what it says Medium = default Large = 25% Thanks for searching the forums!
Pff, if we didn't have to deal with our own insurgents, there's a good chance 9-11 wouldn't have happened.
