Thanks anyway, vStyler, I appreciate the help. I guess I'll have to do more searching to find out why. I'll get it figured out....eventually. ;)

Wooooo Hoooooo!!! Thank you so much! And congrats to everyone!! :D
and apprently arent.
I have IE7 and they never show as being skinned.
Thanks, Pic. I didn't know you could do that. vStyler, so if I'm reading that right, those buttons could be off because I skinned the explorer icons and those are connected to the IE buttons? If that's the case, then, if I adjust the explorer icons the IE buttons will move up? Wont that make the explorer icons too high?
I did not skin these buttons, so I'm assuming that there is a margin setting somewhere that is doing this. Anybody know where I can find it? I have to be looking in the wrong places. Another question. I tried to include a font file in the windowblind but it's not working. I'd love it if the font can automaticaly be installed rather than a person having to do it manually. Do you know
Sorry, double post and no edit button. :(
GIMP is all I use. You don't really need to create an alpha channel. Just make your image without the background layer. The layer named 'background' will not be transparent. When you're done creating, save it as a .png file. Then go to SKS and import it. It will automaticaly make it a tga. If you get stuck or need more help, you can PM me and I will give you my email address.

I was having this problem and all I did to fix it was run CCleaner.
I know that IE7 will not allow the navigation arrows to be skinned in XP, not sure about Vista.
Glad I could help! (I've had the same problem myself a couple of times) ;)
Xiandi you will be happy to hear it now have a startpanel animation.. a pulsating flow in the red bar and now im happy with my new "less is more" panel as it fits better with the other parts of the blind
Awesome! I can't wait to see it in action!
Rob, check the image to make sure it's 24 bits. I use GIMP too and for some reason, if you import an image onto a bmp and then try to save it, it makes it 32 bit instead of 24. just open the image and save it as 24 bit and see if that works.
I'm fairly new to skinning and I do not feel under rated. I love it here. There is no war between "old and youth". In fact, this site would be lost without those "old" guys and gals. I have found nothing but help and friendship here. I registered here not quite a year ago, and I jumped right in to creating things with NO experience at all. Every time I got stuck...I just asked a question here in the forums. I got lots of help! This is the best community on the
Click on the link above. :D
Sweet!! Thanks!!! :D
Thanks, another interesting read. :D I really like the way you showed off the color changing ability of windowblinds. I use that all the time, and in most cases, the blinds recolor really well. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next week!
I want in! :D Any deadline that we have to get it to you?
I don't get it. Neither will skin for me. The favorites menu looks right in the preview but will not apply. I do not have flat menus checked, it's a 24 bit bmp. I've tried to skin the seperator in a couple of ways. The way Kitty suggested, 2x2 magic pink, has no effect. I also tried to make a 800x5 image with the pattern in it...no effect. I'll try again in the morning. If anyone can think of anything else to try I would be grateful. And thank you SK, Kitty a
Ok, I'll go get those seperators skinned. :D The favorites menu looks right in the preview window of SKS, but will not apply for some reason.
The 'Favorites' menu is a bmp image and will not use transparency so make sure those are right.
It is a 24 bit .bmp
The 'lines' are the horizontal and vertical separators and they can be skinned
Where can I find them?
I am at a complete loss. I can't seen to get my favorites menu to skin. Anybody have any tips? I also want to know if these white spaces between the toolbars can be removed, skinned or whatever. I want to make it look seamless. I'm on XP pro using SKS6. Thanks in advance!
nevermind, I just read the post again and I think I misunderstood the problem. :p
2 questions....do you have the non per pixel ones skinned too? and why do you have to have the per pixel background be a bmp??? I thought they HAD to be png converted to tga.
