If so, regardless of what 50 people post here the thousands who buy the game will out voice you. I bought it before beta 1, back when MP was going to have custom servers, modding, and various play modes. Thousands of people who want a SP only game are going to be happy I'm sure. I'm not one of them, and at the moment I care

If it's client-server, then 1) you don't have to worry about people opening ports (as most people find that sort of thing confusing and cumbersome at best), and 2) you don't have to worry about Jimbob User trying to host a game on his 486 with 56k dialup and making a horrible game for everyone else. It just provides a much more un

To be honest and fair I want the Single Player game. So I suppose I am "one" of the people who this game is geared towards. If they toss in other multiplayer goodies, sweet. If not this game is worth the $50 to me for the Single Player experience. Its not whats right or wrong, its my opinion towards me and the product. Whatever camp you are in a lot of people are pretending their opinion is the right opinion and other peoples are wrong. I'm not going to

Wow! Ultimately it seems a couple people won't be buying or playing this game. Sucks to be them. I will. Hell I bought 2 copies just to show my support and that I'm cool with this system. And to counter set all those people who will use negative word of mouth I'll use positive. Already started. Mind you I'm not going to start shoving it down peoples throat at work. (even though Gamestop bitches if I don't get enough pre-orders) Still if the right customer comes through the doo

Galactic Civlizations_2 had modding the same as many other games.
I fail to see why board activity equals sales for a games. Just because the boards are dead for Galactic Civ 2 doesn't mean no one is playing it. I've noticed that even if a game sells like 500,00

@ Jalicos While I have friends who come over to play console games and PC games there are differences. You example is slightly skewed. Street figher or even rockband as an example. One TV, one Console, one game, four controllers, four people can play sure.. Not all games allow you to do that. A lot of games and newer ones too do not allow for split screen or single console play; I have a second 360 and a lot of double games just for that reason. Whe

Not reasonable for a middle or lower class family where the father has 5 sons and/or daughters above 8 years old... $300.oo just so the family can play the game together... PLUS multiply the cost if they wish to play any expansions released.&nb

Sadly I have always had bad experiences with play by email with Civilization being some of the worst. I guess it tends to be the people I play with and the person who organizes it. :(

Bad ass! I love when games ship with more lore and history. Bioware does a great job with the codex in Dragon Age. Good to see we will get a physical copy here! Good luck with your book! I hope to see the series continued! If you ever want to do a signing let me know we are only a little over a state away! ;)

I can't wait for this book. My girlfriend works at a bookstore, which means I should be getting it soon. However I've read that the Collectors Edition also comes with a book of sorts? Is this the same novel or different? The book also comes with a campaign based. Does this take place before or after the campaign that ships with the game? 10 more days or so to wait! :D
Because pathing alone can't do it. On land, you can trace pathfinding between any two points. You can't do that if you have to load the units onto a transport, calculate a path for the transport, and then unload at the other end. Loading/unloading creates a much more complex problem. It looks like Civ5, which has a big development budget, has to some extent given up on the problem by having land units be able to a

You know whats awesome about achievements. Thats exactly what they are. If you don't like them, you don't have to do them and the game still plays the same for you. That being said I enjoy them to a limited extent. I walk away from playing a game with a little more than just a save file and hours of my life gone. I really hate those hard or retarded achievements. Kill 10000000000 enemies. Or die 150 times by walking off an edge.
