I feel close to suicidal. My poor mother is still at the hospital morgue because there was no life insurance and I don't have the money to do anything for her and I can't get anyone to help me from the state because I own a house but that's not liquid so what help is that, and besides, I'm losing my house because she was half the household income and I can't pay this mortgage on the little bit of disability I get, so we'll have to move to a cheap apartment down from a three bedroom ho

I just came by to clarify something. I was talking to a friend and I said she was a single mother, and they said "I thought your mother was married!" And I realized how "single mother" could be misunderstood. So, let me say, she was married to my father when I was born. They were divorced when I was two. Funny how I didn't catch that when I wrote it. And it probably doesn't matter to anyone here, but SHE would have

I just stopped by for a minute, trying to get my mind onto other things for at least a while. But after reading the comments I've received I had to take the time to tell you what wonderful people you all are! Some of you I've only read some posts and maybe responded a couple times. and some of you I get into long discussions, or word games, with many posts. Some of you have even been kind enough to leave a comment on my logon designs. But regardless of the degree of involvement our in

You know, I was raised by a single mother who was both mother and father to me. Always there for me throughout my life. Helping any way she could. She was my rock when I went through the diagnosis of cancer. More than a mother, she was a best friend to laugh with, shop with, cry with. But she isn't crying with me now. I lost my adored mother tonight. <sp
Ah...have you seen Ozzie lately? Have you heard the new (not necessarily right now) Guns 'N Roses album? I've come to the conclusion Rock icons should either die in some senseless way to achieve mythical standing, or go into seclusion like Ronnie James Dio, because they don't get any prettier, and the more they try to Rock when they've past 35 ends up just coming across as pathetic...kind of a characture of what they were when they reached their pinnacle with the public.
Thank G-d...and I truly hope you have complete healing, MG. From the heart.
Thank you. It's in remission right now, but being stage four it pops up again every couple of years. But other than being tired all the time, I'm doing good! [e digicons]|-)[/e]

I have Medicaid since I can no longer work with the cancer, and I have to say, at least here in Arizona, I haven't missed a bit of care. I get the same chemo, hospital stays, tests (oh, all the TESTS!) and everything as someone with lots of money. I can't complain, so far. [e digicons][/e]
The only thing I miss is the add-ons, which I am over addicted to to begin with.
Well, I too, would miss those add-ons. I used Opera years ago, for about two months. It was so hard to get a spell checker installed, or QuikTime to work, I gave up. I like the newest FF, so I'll wait and see what you all think of Opera before jumping on it again.
Sounds like she should have traded the bikes for a gun MG. I hear the mines aren't very healthy so maybe she'll get some payback in a different way.
Strange you should say that. He was moving a house trailer through the mountains there and it got stuck on a curve and when he tried to dislodge it, it tumbled over. On him. Squish. Karma for him, and not the good kind!
OK, let me elaborate. When my sister-in-law got divorced she couldn't keep up with all the credit card payments. They drove her nuts day after day, and one company actually came out and took the kids bicycles! Thats poor money management. No offense but if she couldn't afford the bicycles then they should not have had any. I'm not for bailing out any individual that lived beyond their means.
Oh,

My doctor told me I had Restless Legs Syndrome waaaaaayyyyy back and I'd never heard of it then and actually thought he was kidding me! It sounded so made up, you know? Then, about 15 years later they told me I have Degenerative Disc Disease (the ole DDD) and as it got worse I noticed the tingle went from my back down my legs. So, now I'm wondering if the two might be connected. I don't take anything for it. Aleave once in awhile. I used to have a lot of artheritis in my hip from a fall. It g
True story...I was thirteen at the time. It sucks when: You're playing with friends and you run into your backyard trip and fall face first into a large mound of dog doo left behind by your dad's great dane. Let me tell you how it (used) to work in the jewelry biz. All those signs saying "SALE - 50% off" are really 50% off prices that were just previously RAISED 50%! You end up paying the same! I don't know if they still do this. I quit in 1990.
