Playing without the expansion would make it easier to learn the ropes, because it gets a bit more complicated with all the new stuff. However, the expansion turns it into a much more fun (and richer) game. Is the expansion's campaign significantly harder that DL? Hi, I've been playing Civ IV for a while but felt like a change, Ive just picked up the GalCivII Gold Edition, and upon reading various reviews it seems the expansion is far superior to the already great Dreadlords original. So my question is, is it worth playing the original GalCiv2? Or should I just fire up the Xpac and go straight from there. Cheers.
