I have tried to update Windows FX to 5.15 from 5.12 several times using Object Desktop Manager. It would go through the motions but it would not update and It would still appear in Object Desktop Manager as "Update Available" I finally downloaded it from my account on your website, when I tried to install it, it told me I had to uninstall the old version first, which I did. I then rebooted as it asked. Now when I open Object Desktop Manager, It shows no installed p
Icon Packager Fix : Solution is to remove registry key "Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shellex\iconhandler"
I am running Win 8.1 64-bit and I tried this but it did not fix the issue. I also agree that Icon Packager is a necessary component of Object Desktop.
To Neil Banfield , Thanks for the info! on the Random Wallpaper Option.
I downloaded and installed the Deskscapes8 Beta and it works great on my win 8 64-bit machine. I have looked and looked but can't find an option to change the Wallpaper/Dream at a selected interval. Has it been removed? Will it be in the final version? I have hundreds of wallpapers and dreams, and enjoyed having them change periodically with the earlier versions of Deskscapes.

Hey cerbygearz (or anyone), Did you ever find a soluton to making the Metro Style Tile Background transparent? I have tried to do that since starting to use tiles but have no luck. I also tried to change the tiles in the Extra Large tiles Mode style to match the ones in Metro (because it has a transpare
I loaded Icon Packager on Vista 86 yesterday and it works but my psd and video files do not show up as thumbnails in exploerer. Is there any way to restore them. I did a restore of the icon and a system restore. Thannks
I use CS2 everyday and do not have much of a problem. The application window is not skinnned in the Aero theme but that is about it. I do think it is unfair of Adobe not to provide some patch or update for those that might want to get some use out of a newly purchased Photoshop CS2. That is shortsighted of them.
This is great to see. Have have been using Object desktop for years and have enjoyed creating beautiful desktops to work on. I have been running Vista Beta for a few mounths and was wondering when I would hear of the next phase of Stardock. I have always had powerful machines that could run all of the many Stardock programs that I ran always, now Vista also runs even better. I knew that with what was "under the hood" in Vista you could do
Done I got the animation.dll from the Sunrise animated docket and it allowed me to make an animated shortcut. Very nice.
I have downloaded and applied annimated dockes but nothing happens. So I created a simple animated docket and changed the graphic but how do you make it a shortcut. When you right click/docket properties a dialog for a graphic comes up, but no where to select a program to make it a shortcut? how do they work? And are they just make to look pretty. or be functional? Thanks for you time and intellect in advance, iam bennu ;)
Ok, I missed the second page. So it does not work on XP or 2K. That figures.I have hacked the registry and still could not add sounds to programs. I could put them in and they would show up in windows sound schemes but stil not play. In fact the regular open and close for Sound Recorder does not work. It must not currently be posible or someone would have done it by now. there are companies that specialized in sound modification that just could not do it for 2000 and XP. Maybe with Lon
I have looked all over for a program that would add sounds to Windows. I have found a few for 95-98 but none for 2000. Even the program mentioned above says for 95-98 only. I found a great program that will randomize windows sound so they do not get monotonous. http://www.ztec-software.com/ Does Sound Association really work on XP? I'd love a Second opinion
I am looking for a Desktop X clock object that will allow me to pick a sound for an hourly alarm. Does anyone know of one. Thanks in advance greg
