Thanks to you and Jim for your efforts. I use the weather widgets all the time. I like having calendars, clocks, meters and gauges. I use Vad_M's media player, which I guess is not the DX media player. Animations are a neat trick, but I'm not nuts about them--I can easily live without them if they don't have a specific purpose except to make you say wow. You won't need ObjectDock 2. It is in Beta now and going through growing pains. 2of3 has steered you to the right place. There is a huge variety of styles available. You can change the icon size within ObjectDock as well as the name of the shortcut, and change the icons themselves.

Kenny--don't rush out to get a refund. Theme Manager is actually a free program. The highlights of ObjectDesktop are WindowBlinds, IconPackager and DesktopX, and a whole lot of other programs. Theme Manager would be awesome if it worked like it used to. It's the ideal, and only, way to restore a previous desktop with one button push. I'd hate to see it go away, but if they don't fix it, I have to agree with Philly

That happens to me from time to time, and every time I log off and log back on, it works again. You can still use the Start button while the dock doesn't work. Do all your other dock shortcuts work?

I can't help much (because I use the XP version) other than suggest you try other logons, and make sure that they are for Vista or Windows 7, and not XP, because they are not compatible with each other. Your problem could be as simple as having tried to use an XP logon on Vista. Welcome to the world of skinning--if you haven't already done so, check out the other progams as well.

You can't put very many icons on the taskbar for one thing. I have a huge amount of shortcuts that I use all the time, so a tabbed dock or two is necessary for me. Another is that some of the docks are worth using just because they look so good with the right icons. I've even gone as far as having oversized icons/docks on my desktop just because they are great works of art.

Try resizing it to 256 (or 128) pixels wide and see what happens. I'm quite sure that ObjectDock can't properly deal with an icon 800 pixels wide, although I've never tried one myself.
