Having the option of a separate installer, rather than using Impulse would be a great option.Some people only buy one program, and having to use a big system like Impulse to get the program is a real pain, and if you're on dialup, it's hopeless. I find Impulse to be very useful as an organizer because I have ObjectDesktop; among other things, it alerts you when there is an update to any of your programs.

I wouldn't call the Start menu conservative. I don't recall seeing another one like it. It's very distinct in style. The lighting is interesting, too.

There is a website called virustotal.com where you can upload a file and have it tested by a large number of anti-virus programs. Your program was tested, and apparently 2 out of 42 programs found a problem. I agree with Jafo; they must be false positives. Some engines flag a program based on behaviour as well as using signatures; they are just guessing. I've had Norton Anti-Virus try to block a DX weather gadget.
