Verifying Download... in Sins of a Solar Empire Stardock Forums

I recently downloaded and installed the Impulse client. Then I installed Sins of a Solar Empire using the original disk. I launched Impulse and began downloading the 1.05 patch. The patch downloaded just fine, but now it's stuck at Verifying Download for like 45 min now. I even canceled it once thinking I had hit a problem or something, but now I am getting the same thing again. Is this normal? Is something wrong? How long does patching to 1.05 usuall
