I asked ChatGPT your question and got the following response: "If you mean Rainmeter skin: yes. You can build a Rainmeter skin as an all-in-one skin—for example, one package/skin that contains the clock, weather, system meters, CPU/RAM, drives, network, shortcuts, media controls, etc. If you mean one single .ini file, that's also possible, although for a complex skin it's usually better to have several measures/met
If you have windowblinds installed as a standalone it will not be an option. It is part of Object Desktop. Just having windowblinds installed doesnt outright give you Skin Studio as it is a separate download.
Does anyone know if a Rainmeter skin can be built as an all-in-one skin?
I remember back in 1990 we used a DOS based program for our software. Yep the good old days. My 1st pc was a Compaq Windows 3.1.1
Chuck, Copper Deck was an old favorite of mine.
Mine is in the quick launch on taskbar. W11 Pro. Using Start 11 V 2.73
Good heads up Jeff T. i will have to try it, i like a consistent feel to my skins.😊
Myself I prefer a static image. Easier on system resources.
Just updated this morning. so far no hick ups.[e digicons][/e]
garfield_the_catreply 11Here's to another 25 years, whatever OS is going to be popular then. For me...still Windows 7 ...
I think most would prefer W7. Myself included. It was the most stable.
Wow! Sure doesn't seem like it has been that long. I have been onboard since 2005. Hope we have more years in the future. We need more people interested in the art of skinning to keep the population going. Rock on WC![e digicons][/e] [e digicons][/e] [e digicons][/e] Moderator: Double post removed.
I cannot even get xwidget installed, Mirosoft security hates the download
Quoting Chasbo, reply 26 Wait I checked Workshelf and the weather widget is working showing the proper Icon and temp. Great! Removed your prior reply.
Chuck, What was your fix to get it right again? Like you I alw
Yes, the horizontal taskbar buttons are forced to be used in the vertical taskbar. Not really sure if it can be fixed, but I have hoped Stardock could do something about that over the years.
Thanks for clearing that up for people. We just had this same discussion earlier. And yes it sucks MicroShit doesnt care about the skinners. Said my peace and I am done.[e digicons]:)[/e]
I have backed up files to OneDrive, so I am in same class as Tom. I believe I pointed that out to Tom a few days ago. Good article Doc, as others who are dead set on staying on W10 will be disappointed. I am already using W10 and W11 in dual boot so i am doing fine.
Been reading this thread for a few days, since WB and Start 11 DO work well together, Maybe Curtains could be another option. As it doesnt dive as deep into OS. Just my 2 cents. Thanks Don
Myself I would have a blast in a Mustang as such, Just give me the keys and I will announce my departure with a big rip and roar!!! LOL
