if i wait for TA i'd have to start from scratch and my mod would be kinda worhtless but maybe. i'd rather not wait though
Everyone's going to be playing TA when it comes out. And not all of your work will be worthless. It's not a different game. A few things, like techs, might be obsolete, but then you can spend 5 minutes on the editor:) I don't think that the models will be useless, (although I'm not sure).
Still waiting for the part where it's serious.
Erm, the ultimate part of the game is winning - or losing. That's what it all leads up to. So... that is rather serious, yes.
Hi! No, I just think that the AI should be able to win properly! Imagine this: after a long ad "blody" struggle you've finaly beaten those nasty AIs down, and your ships rule the galaxy. There's no force left that can challenge you, you can go wherever you want, do what you please, but in the next turn BAM, you lose! AI just won a diplo victory, and despite all your might there's nothing you can do to prevent that. <br/
So you really wanted to lose that game?
No, I just think that the AI should be able to win properly!
It's not a bug and IIRC has been this way since DL...The AI cannot win diplo victory's.
Ok... but why? So unfair...
I think the AI cannot win because you can still break the alliance or kill the other race. It works when you have an alliance because you cannot force an alliance on the other race. I hope that helps, because i had the same question.
But I can also break an alliance or kill the other race. And nobody forces anything on anyone. So, thank you for trying to help, but that doesn't seem to make sense. Thanks, though!
I won't insult your intelligence and ask if you have the Diplomatic Victory condition enabled, but IIRC the AI cannot win with a Diplomatic Victory for whatever reason. As in, they aren't allowed to. Not sure why.
Lol! I did have it enabled. I know this for a fact because, in the end, I won one. ...they can't? WHY? that sounds like a pretty serious bug, still... if it's purposeful, I'd like to know

TA newest beta, on Vista: Me playing as Thalan, 2 other races left. One has alliance with me and the other!! He isnt winning!

Not exactly a bug, but kind of weird. Running Vista: The map editor is transparent. The middle screen, that is. Too use it without seeing my desktop in the background, I have to delete my desktop icons and change the desktop to solid black.
I heard it on TV this week. The temp. is the highest it has been for the last 10,000 years. Also for the last 10,000 years the climate has been more stable than in any other period for the planet.
Lol. In the past 400 years, maybe. Mann's Hockey Stick Graph strikes again. I wonder if anyone actually read any bits of any of my articles :)
graph of the temperatures of the planet, over the past few million years or so. The line on the graph was relatively steady. It went slightly up or down depending on if there was an ice age going on. Right until the dawn of the industial revolution. Temperatures began to steadily rise. And in the 20th century(1900s)the worldwide temps began to climb dramaticly fast. On the graph there was a blue line, showing the actual temps. A green line showing what the temps should be, just by
Some of these might be bugs, some of them might be intentional by design...but I figure there's surely people around here who know better than I do! Sorry if any of these are already dead horses...I tried to stay away from stuff like multiplayer. 1 -- I built a terror star next to the Drengin home star system. It sat there mobilizi

I would be interested to see if anyone could challenge my points. Hello? Anyone? Until then, I win.

As has been stated before, the other planets' temperatures are increasing at the same rate as us. Guys, there are no factories there. This points towards warming being from solar cycles. Two, if atmospheric C02 was warming the Earth, then scientists would expect the atmosphere to warm at a quicker rate than the ground. That is not happening. Three, the Vostok ice-core sample shows that C02 levels rise with or after (by a thousand years or less) temperature. Therefore, C0
