Progress Bar Width should be a multiple of 22, and will adjust themselves to the nearest on actual reboots if not. That shouldn't be responsible for weird prog bar distortion, though. Do both of your images have the exact same palette, same colors, same orders? Could be that. If you are running the widgets as exe's, they most likely have an option that you can set to run at startup. Right click on the widget and select Preferences, the look for a check box. Do this for each widget you want to start up with. Your widgets should still be in the same place you left them when you restart them. Tiggz does amazing and innovative work. This clock is no exception. I imported the widget version https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=444&LibID=34&comments=1 into DXBuilder. I didn't figure it all out, but essentially he didn't override the About panel, so much as override the right-click menu and make it look similar to the default. After that he made his own actions for the menu selections. Very cool.

I don't think there is a way to diplay the current value of a preference slider in the preferences panel. May be wrong, though. I think you'll have to create a custom interface if you want both a slider and a numeric value displayed.

RomanDA, that is great! Nice job figuring that out. I can't get the underline or strikethrough to show, though. I noticed if you put font name in quotes you can use font names that include spaces, like "Arial Black" and "Trebuchet MS" -- which, as far as I can tell, you can't do with Object.FontName. So you've solved several issues with this info!

For everything but a hotkey preference (and maybe that too) you can use other input options. Use the DesktopX ActiveX form controls (edit box, combo box...) to create a form, and use those values to directly set your preference values, for example.

The problem of color being off during the actual reboot is, as Koasati said, the result of the Progress Bar and Background images having differing palettes. Not only must both images be 4-bit depth, but they must use the same colors in the same spots on the palettes.
