I am having problems too. I finnaly got it to load something and it loaded 25. something megs just shy of finishing. I was unable to save the file to my computer. I then tried again and it keeps getting stuck on 3.81 megs. Not sure what is going on.
For some reason trying to use the links in the OP causes both firefox and explorer to freeze and lock up. I am unable to open either pdf up in those programs on my computer. I can view and read the Heirgamon though.
I downloaded the install file and opened up the folder to install the game and I got a busy icon when hovering over the folder where I downloaded the install file yet nothing happened. When moving my mouse cursor anywhere else I did not get a busy icon. I kept trying to click the install EXE several times and I went to task manager to see if the install program was running and nothing showed up except the folder being open. Very few people read Eula's anymore because for the 10,000 lines of legalese needed to make a binding contract due to anal lawyers and laws there are maybe 10 to 15 lines that are actually relevant to the bulk of users. This also allows the odd developer to do wierd things now and then like put spyware on your machine and say but its in the EULA. The EULA has become the small print/fine print of the gaming industry that no one reads anymore because most of it is useless garbage.

After reinstalling from the cd's I simply played the game without any updates and I am not crashing atm. I will try some updates later to figure out which one was causing the problems.

It was in Dread Lords. I just purchased the game and was going to start from the begining. It is ver 1.5018 I think. The latest from stardock that was not a beta version. I did click on all the downloads on stardock before playing and I am thinking I might just erase the game and reinstall without any downloads to see.
