I'm actually getting it to download with the alternate method, but it is EXTREMELY slow. It flies to 0.8% and then crawls slower than an amoeba after that. Not sure what the issue is. It took 10 minutes to get to 0.9%. Any thoughts?
Well, my two cents.. A rail gun is a kinetic energy weapon. Meaning that it essentially fires a projectile (similar to a bullet from a gun) that first must be brought to the correct velocity using a long tube (linear accelerator). Essentially, these are fire and forget weapons. Point at your target and pull the trigger. The tubes generally would be as long as could be accomodated by the ship.
