I found another folder...an apparently more important folder: C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\OWNER\LOCAL SETTINGS\APPLICATION DATA\STARDOCK\OBJECTDOCKPLUS It's in here you have the important ini files. The question right now is which ones can we safely delete if we have problems like the above described issue.
Do a Google search for "objectdock cache folder" without the quotes and you'll find a link to a discussion on this problem. From what I gather...you have to delete all the saved ini files in your theme folder but NOT the default ini file. This suggests that the themes should be backed up to a memory stick and relaunched using the default setting. Once ObjectDock is up and running again...restore the saved theme and reuse it. This is going to be an interesting thread. I'm curious to hear about how to handle this particular problem. So far I haven't had a situation like this...but I suspect this could be lurking under the hood, so to speak. So I would be curious to see how this one is resolved. There must be a file in ObjectDock that can get corrupted and it needs refreshing. This is indeed a serious problem and I hope somebody can offer a suggestion. I just tried this technique...and it works! I CAN save my current setup and create a new set of icons! OMG...this is fantastic! Just one question...where are the saved sets located (which subdirectory) so I can back these up to memory stick, etc?

I"ve been using ObjectDock for a while now and I've learned about an interesting limitation - I'd appreciate it if anybody can correct me if I'm wrong. 1. When you create your tabs and docks...you're NOT allowed to selectively launch the bars you make. You have to launch ALL of the tabs/bars at the same time...or you can't open ObjectDocks at all. For example...If I create three bars of my favorite shortcuts, etc...ObjectDock will open alll 3 objectbars no matter what. ObjectDock doesn't
Folder Lockbox is pretty good...however..the only thing wrong with it is that it unmounts the folder after you lock it. So I can't show a shortcut on the Object Bar for inclusion.
ObjectDock is basically a 'shortcut' program... if you require things to be passworded, wouldnt it be better to implement the protection on the application-side of things? I.e., password protect your Word documents, etc. This is not safe as this method of encryption protection is laughably easy to circumvent. I purchased the license to ObjectDock Plus last night. It's a good program...except for one glaring problem...no password protection on items you create on the dockers. Anyone can click on the links to whatever I create and see the contents. It would be nice to have password protection built in...say Blowfish 512 bit encryption?
