Didn't work for me but thanks for posting something to try. :) Right now though I am having [link="https://forums.stardock.com/305793"]bigger problems[/link]. I think it is some whonkyness from the new release. I have not seen anyone from SD post in either of these thread so I hope they see them.
This should be altered so that the entire fleet can spread out across the gravity well and jump simultaneously
That is what I think as well. It does this sometimes for me but I have not figured out the "whys and hows" that causes it to work that way. But when it does happen, they spread themselves out along the edge of the well pointed toward the planet they are about to phase to. It is awesome and it makes for really great timing but this is the exception rather than the
You can make them jump all at the same time by right clicking that green arrow on the bottom when you select your fleet. Then you should see three green arrows which is how you set them to jump simultaneously.
Yeah I tried that and they still get bunched sometimes. [link="http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z11/FomarThain/Game%20Screens/Sins%20of%20a%20Solar%20Empire/sose_bunched.jpg"]Here is what happens[/link]. I have read that 1.1 will focus on MP and that's cool. But I wonder if there will be SP changes as well. One thing I would really like to see addressed is fleet phase jumping. As it stands now it is not uncommon for my fllet to get all bunched up before jumping and thus they jump at a very staggered stages. Just curious if any SP changes have been talked about by SD and or IC. Thanks.
As someone above said, its also crappy I have to kiss the AIs ass to talk to them, especially when I'm #1 in all rankings. They should be kissing my ass. Compared to games like Total War or Civ, the AI's diplomacy pretty much sucks.
Yes that is what bothers me. In my last game I was cleaning house and I still got the message from the AI that he/she was losing patience with me because I failed a mission. Bite me Mr. AI you have no chance of winning this game. ^_^<br

Any update on this? Any SD folks ask about it? Just curious because it still is a problem for me so it’s not really worth reassigning icons every time I start my computer which of course means have no need for IP. :SNIFF!: I really like IP. Windows XP Pro SP2 (completely updated) GeForce 8800GTX – 163.75 Sound Blaster Xi-Fi Extreme Intel Duo Core 2.66MHz E6750 IP – 3.99.146 Any help or update would be appreciated. Thanks.

Follow up as the edit button seems to be gone. Found it. I had an older version of SysStats. In the new one (which I got from the [link="http://sysstats.jools.net/"]SysStats site[/link]) there is a system folder that lists all the functions, gives code examples and provides a quick start guide walking you through the dialog. :CONGRAT: Now I will learn how to create Docklets and make you guys one! And no.... it won't be one that shows the weather! ^_^ ;)
i browsed the web and there's a sysstats sdk somewhere - I gots no knowledge or skills -but I seem to recall with docklets a sdk is involved....uhhhhhhh.....BUMP
Thanks for the reply! :) I have actually seen and downloaded the SDK but it is the SDK for developing docklets from scratch using C++ and in the Visual Studio 6 environment. Maybe I misunderstand how this thing works. I thought the point of sysstats was to allow non-coders the ability to make dockets wi

Thinking about this game I started looking around my sounds folder and found these among many: [link="http://www.fomarthain.com/ft/sounds/ac_whop_on_down.mp3"]Traditional: Datalinks[/link] [link="http://www.fomarthain.com/ft/sounds/ac_civilian_nerve_staple.mp3"]Morgan[/link] :D
Hi, umm, just wondering if anyone has played Alpha Centauri? I bought it in a five-pack for $9.99 and it is my favourite of the pack. It is a Sid Meier, so it is good. Anyone just comment on if you have played it or if you have actually found its expansion.
Well worth the purchase imo. It was/is a great game. It is in my top ten games of all time. It has many things I could on about but what I remember the most were the incredible voice effects when you had researched a n
Ascendancy was an amazing game...http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/221It's very close to being a turn-based Sins..
Wow, I remember that game. I played the heck out of it. I hadn't thought about it in years. Good call. :)

My all time favorite 4x game, in fact it's in my top 10 games of all time, is Alpha Centauri. Though I have to admit Sins may knock it out of my 10. Or at least it will knock something out of my 10. As much as I have been playing it is still to early to say. Top 10 games stand the test of time and Sins is still young. :D

Maybe this is an impulse beta thing and if so well its a beta and I take my chances. But I installed DesktopX and IconPackager from Impulse and it put it on my C: drive without asking me wehre I wanted it. This is kinda bogus as I only use that drive for Windows. All of my apps get installed on my E: drive. When I first started installing ObjectDektop programs from SDC it always asked me where I wanted to put things. Is this a change in policy or, like I said, just a beta thing

My CD/DVD icon under XP SP2 won't change either. As I usually have a disk in it doesn't bother me but I can't change the .url file icon either. Can you change that one under XP? I don't have Vista so I don't know how it works in that environment.

Same, but it just started happening after I added some more icons to my "default" package. Now when I load the package who knows what is going to go where. Were I to fix this (if it would stick) I would have to redo just about every icon in the package I have... What's up? This happened after I installed the latest update. Version 3.99.146. I am on XP Pro 32bit. EDIT: Three of my "homemade" icon packages are now completely fouled up. ;p EDIT2: To fix this I deleted m

I also think that the release of mod tools is not to finish the game the developers release but to extend shelf life. I am not so jaded that I think the devs don’t' think it is also cool to do so but how long would something like a vanilla UT or Quake have on the shelf were it not for the tons of maps and mods made on an almost daily basis? I think the mod community really, really adds to shelf life if the tools are any good. I have not messed with anything yet but it sounds like the in
Whenever I try to register my serial number it says it is wrong. what's going on? How do i fix it?
Dunno but mine is the same way. It keeps telling me that my email address is not the one associated with the serial number or something like that. That of course is wrong as I would not use another email address for such things. It is also the one I use for my Stardock and WC account. So I don't know what the deal is. I have tried to register through the game and SDC. No luc

I don't agree with the static defense thing either especially when you can shift+rlck an attack cue and then let that be while you move on to another planet. Very little micromanage there and to me it is preferable to the AI deciding on targets. I definitely agree about the cap ship auto break off thing. The rest of the fleet it makes sense but if the cap ship is bombing a planet no reason why it needs to break off and go tearing off to attack a scout or some such. Even "real" ships for that mat
Yes this is the one problem. It's LRMS that are too good, not caps are too weak
I agree 100%. I build tons of these guys and can cut through everything. A heavy LRMS fleet eats capital ships for breakfast and is still ready for more. As much as I would miss that ;) I agree they need to be toned down a bit. Also the AI doesn't seem to try to take these guys out quick enough. Maybe that is part of problem to. I know I gun for these pretty quick when I am in a fight aganist
what i do is a 'save package as' on the original (so I don't mess it up) and use the saved copy to make changes to. and then change out the one(s) I want changed, save
*nods* That is what I eneded up doing. Right after it changed. Now I can't get the URL extention to work so I will toy with that for a bit. :) I really like this program. It and ObejectDock are easily my favorites. Only problem with IP is that I have become an icon whore. :NOTSURE: I have only ha
