The simple fact is that the AI can only run through so many scripts per second to formulate a good plan before it fries your comp; and that number is far lower then the number of decisions needed to be made to be a good player. Many people don't realize how many decisions they are making in such a limited time. Sure, it seems easy to say that once an AI goes below X health then it needs to return to base, but what if it only needs one second more to cap a flag, or one skill would kill a fleei

It's not like they're still working on it or anything. I mean, there's only a year until it's released, the game should be pratically finished by now! Stop faking the argument, there are many elements there are finished before even alpha, and the definition
I doubt Elemental will require signigicant upload speed. Due to the nature of Elemental I would think it wouldn't need as much upload speed as Demigod, with which I can run 3v3 fine with only 0.62 Mbps upload. Clarification would help to clear the air though.
If you have a bad connection you won't be able to play online. The only difference is that unlike most games which let you figure this out once the game has started, Elemental won't give you the chance to ruin a multiplayer game.
Agree completely. As someone who works in the service industry, I can say that I want to help people who are rude so much more then those who calmy explain their problem...yea right. The simple fact is, you can be upset, but you don't have to be an ass about it.

Oh the memories...
I agree with Island Dog. I consider myself a moderate liberal, but with Medicade broke, Medicare broke, and Social Security broke I don't see how someone could think that the federal government could run a fiscally sound heath care plan. Also, the police and fire departments are ran by local governments, not the federal government. Comparing the two is rediculous. I'm all for health care reform. It's bullshit that companies can decline your claims and drop you the way the can or the w

Damn dude, I'm a good bit younger then you, but we watched a lot of the same cartoons. I also loved Thundercats, Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtles, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Underdog and a lot of the early Nickelodeon(Hey Arnold, Angry Beavers, Rocko's Modern Life, Doug plus some more) and Cartoon Network(Secret Squirrel, Johny Quest, TopCat) cartoons. And the best freaking cartoon of all time http://www.

Maybe it is too ea

They need to be able to have the choice to feed gold/xp from thier minions that Sedna and QoT would have by summoning them directly. not really they still have control on minions so they can move them back and dont use them if they like
to participate in the beta do you need to sign an NDA?
No, only alpha and pre-release gamma participants have to sign NDAs.

If we're assuming that the game needs to be balanced with heartattacks killing all members of the opposing team in mind, I'm sure I could drum up some imba too. *edit - Also, at level 2, Regulus needs to plink
Huh? I've not played much QoT, but I have played some Rook and against the AI I can easily farm kills. In fact, against the AI you can actually kill something with Hammer Slam.
I don't think there are too many statistics to say either way what % of people pirate games(Stardock's CEO, however, stated that at the Demigod launch there were around 120,000 Demigod users with only 18,000 of those legitimate customers, so take it as you will). But the fact is very little can be done here even if that is his real name. Could Stardock ban him from the forums and never let him purchase any of thier products...probably, but that'd simply be taking money out of thier pockets, a
Are you sure you're playing a general?
While I don't like DRM, I don't think pirating anyway will get thier attention. They will simply put more restrictive DRM to try and combat it, despite however pointless such a cause appears to us. The only way to stop companies from putting DRM on thier products is to not buy or pirate thier games. Obviously not buying the game sends them the loudest message as if sales drop and consumers make it known that it is because of the DRM, smart companies will think twice before doing it ag
Quoting Scoutdog, reply 20 Just think about 'spoiler' reviews and you should get some sympathy for what I'm trying to type about. I don't presume that the Elemental boards will somehow be free of posts from zero-sum 'win' lovers. I'm just fairly certain that making the core AI code public would do nothing for me except increase the number of posts I wish I hadn't read. I play to play, and people who play to win mostly seem to value things
After playing Anno 1404 for about 10 of the last 24 hours, I can say setting up an empire with different resources being harvested in one place and sent to another via trade routes is a lot of fun. However, it also becomes kind of tiring manually changing routes as an areas needs change. As a result, I think that resources automaticly going to areas as they are needed sounds like a good idea.
Obviously it's not working as intended. They get no extra money by keeping it installed on your comp.
As someone who regularly plays pugs(I dont even know what this term means), I'll give it a go. 1. I don't think pugs are getting any more defense then premades, only that you should be honest in your game title. 2. It's not wrong and I don't think thats the question - however, some people seem to have the opinion that if you've played with people before then you're a premade, even though you're not some extremely experienced team, my definition of a premade. 3. There should be virtually zero seperation between anyone. The problem right now is the seperation.
