Some of us didn't pre-order until we were assured there would be LAN support for the game and that with multiplayer in the game, it would be done "right".[/quote] If you're truly that upset about than contact sales. Stardock has given refunds before for stuff like that.<

Were realtime battles even originally planned? I thought it was a continuous turn system that got replaced with traditional turn based.

If these would be possible, aliens would've visited Earth already. Actually it's not that clear. There's still a ton we don't know about how the universe works. There's no proof that things like wormholes don't exist as much as there isn't proof that they do. What we have are models for the universe, which keep changing through the years as
Sigh...not another one of these. From that same journal entry just the next paragraph down. "Making a game is a lot like writing a term player expect that we have to program the word processor prior to actually writing the term paper. After programming the word processor, writing the term paper doesn’t seem so bad." It takes them very little time to make adjustments such as those. As far as I know, you can play as a guest, but I don't know if that allow you to save games or any other details. It'd be nice if you could create multiple offline profiles for situations like this.
Whenever you register a product with Impulse, whether it was bought in the box or digitally, it becomes available in your Impulse game list. From there you can download the game to any computer you want using Impulse with no disk required as long as you have an internet connection. Impulse is also required to get any new patch that comes out, but if you don't want to use Impulse you can install your game and start it up regularly like any other.
