Also dont let rook level to 20 is a good trick too. lol, what can we do to stop him. Anyway I can prove hammer is fked because in a game today I took full damage and I was slowed at the same time. The slow effect should only be applied to those that avoid the damage radius. Not that we need proof
If nearly striking you with the hammer stuns, I would

Cool - sounds to me like you had Lord Denethor in the previous beta build and now you have Saruman. I like both and would hope you utilize both. If they aren`t the actual respective distinguished thespians, then you`ve found some talent that does a remarkable job mimicking them. Big thumbs up.
> Starbase phase gate ability (Vasari) uses antimatter to activate as originally intended: This one REALLY worries me. If the phase gate ability is activated, then what's the point? You only buy that one for neutral/enemy wells as it is, and with the recent improvement in the Kostura Cannon, it's not necessary for enemy wells. Was it really overpowered in an always-on state? (Same goes for the scout's detect
something i am missing with generals is any kind of direct link to their summons... like a live bond. i would prefer very strong summons, which share their life with the summoner, for example if the summoner has got 5 strong summons, each of them with arround 1,5K HP, the general would have his own... 1,5K HP + 50% of each of the summons current life. means, if the general stands alone, hes an easy hit. and while he is surrounded by his
In one post I see people saying Vasari are horribly OP because of their moving starbases. Next thread is about the huge disadvantage they suffer from not having anti-structure ships. I wonder if maybe Vasari are just not meant to be completely analogous to the other races point for point? Make sure to read the above statement with a tinge of bitter sarcasm directed at the people at either extreme.
Here
Well my orginal thought on generals was that they would each work a diffrent way. For example (because dota is commonly used, and is appropriate for a rough tool) take chen, brood mother, furion, and keeper of light (though KoL recently got a rework, but I'm talking about the orginal version). Each has it's own method of having units, chen steals neutrals, brood gets them from killing units with a buff on and her minions can make subsequent min
Karma do you play this game online? Most everyone I play with agrees the egg is op at killing cap ships. It also has a devastating level6 planet killing/cred stealing ability. I have had my cap ships killed faster then I could fly by. There is not enuf time for your cap to turn around and jump out before it dies even at the edge of the well. The progen is not so great when it dies in 5-15 seconds. Torpedo cruisers are a small advantage. You can build a vasari sb at the e

I have experienced stuttering. I regret I am not sure what triggers it. My *guess* would be it occurs every time an A.I. Demigod makes a decision about their next course of action. The game literally hung multiple times while I was resting at the healing obelisk thing, with my camera focussed from afar on a friendly Rook. The duration of the hang was about 2 full seconds. Is perhaps some synchronization multiplayer code playing an unnecessary role in A.I.-only games? As others

Increasing a delay between command and execution will make the game more of a plot & react experience than a twitcher, won`t it? You`ll have to be more deliberate in committing The Rook to a Hammer Slam for example. It`ll be trickier to time things. Personally I like that. Regarding unit counts and Minions, I theorize that reducing the count of General units will also help mitigate pathing/clustering problems in tighter map areas (?). I like having a horde, so I`m hopeful that per

If there is any validity to complaint over map size, it is due to Demigod swiftness. The impression might be that maps need to be larger, but I would contend this is simply a sensation brought about by the ample use of teleport items. Eliminating teleportation would surely make all the maps seem a fair bit larger. That would actually be an idea - randomize the array of regular items available for purchase in any skirmish/map. Then sometimes you might wind up with a contest wherei

I would caution against relying solely upon teamwork for A.I. challenge however, as this will avail a *single* computer opponent not at all. I imagine (and hope) that the instance in the single player campaign of confronting a lone Demigod - one on one - would not be unusual.
Tyo, as mentioned in another thread, it would be great to see hard and nightmare demigods work in pairs and teams. This is one of those improvements to ai that may limit the need for cheating while increasing difficulty and making the experience more similar to a decent online team.
Good observation.
Like Trig mentioned, Hard and Nightmare AI's get a boost to a variety of things. Essentially making them 'cheat'. Also, we're aware the AI has taken a bit of a nose-dive(the team has been focusing on bugs recently) and we plan to make another push on the AI before the game is finished.
Please make sure you VARY the A.I. experience. Providing a tough opponent (preferably who plays by the same rules you do i.e. no cheating
That being said, this can hardly be called a "Game" in the traditional completed sense. Its more like trying to sell someone a half-baked piece of dough and calling it a loaf of bread.
.. And except you still affirmatively paid for it. The 'sell' was hardly a hard sell at all. I disbelieve many who claim ignorance of the terms of this pre-order beta and other pre-order betas: its in the very term "pre-orde

Sorry you`d want to do that. In any event, I would hope one hasn`t plundered the beta builds leading up to cancellation - I think it would be reasonable for GPG and Stardock to say that having indulged in such, a refund is not an option. Personally I would feel not right (awkward) having partaken of such and then asking for a refund: I can`t after all give back to Stardock/GPG my beta experience. But thats not mine to say.

I am never in favour of special editions having extra game components that lesser versions do not have... there should be no "lesser" versions. Special materials should be relative to the game, but not a component of the game denied to other users who aren`t either as rich as others or perhaps as boldly dedicated as others. A retail chain offering a an exclusive rts unit or a vendor promising otherwise locked maps/scenarios may be nice for those who buy from them/buy
Now THAT'S a bit of an overstatement. If there are about 12 siege frigates backed up with a huge number of combat frigates and multiple cap ships on an early game rush (play unlocked teams and you'll see what I mean ) then yes they'll get the job done. Such a huge army will quickly destroy any amount of early game static defense, much quicker than they can take down that many siege frigates, and then cover them long enough to take out a
