Sounds good. Also looking forward to seeing what GPG has cooking for new Demigods & maps.

Unclean Beast Favour & Item Loss I start a single-player Tournament with Unclean Beast on Hard. I play a few rounds, purchase a few expensive Items with my accumulated points, then exit the game. When I return, I am missing my items, and I have fewer points than when I left. Each subsequent round of play thereafter I seem to be losing points & items... 3 dominating wins later and I have nothing for points or Items. Wierd

Toggle for A.I. cheating...
Majesty 2 will use GOO... could a release via Impulse be on the horizon?
Normal mode is too easy. The computer is far more aggressive and careful on Hard and Nightmare. And don`t say that the only difference between Normal and harder difficulty levels is cheating, because that would be (and is) untrue. Not to mention the robust apportioning of starting gold on Normal.
We aren`t talking invention of a SkyNet nor a HAL-9000 here. Rationalize it any way you want - the bottom line is a cheating A.I. opponent sucks. The singleplayer experience should be better in that respect. Regardless, my request was and is for an option to toggle cheating On or *Off*.
The reason people make cheating AI is because writing "hard" AI is VERY difficult. Trying to reproduce what a person playing the game is thinking with code is almost imposable, let alone making them smarter.
This contention flies in the face of every great single player game ever made...
I understand the reasoning behind giving A.I. statistical advantages. That still doesn`t change the fact fighting opponents with those kinds of advantages sucks. I can play my ass off and behold the experience levels of my A.I. foes, who despite good luck and precision playing (when I am fortunate enough to do so) are leaps and bounds beyond my own or those of my teamates. The advice to "play online multiplayer" I would classify as a cop-out. If single player play is so immaterial to
I`ve said this before, and with every game I play featuring A.I. on Hard or worse (!) I champion this more & more: allow players to toggle Off A.I. cheating. There is nothing more frsutrating and demoralizing than playing your ass off, doing well, only to see the A.I. you have purportedly been dominating field more items than you and sitting with one or two experience levels above your own. And this is when beheld by someone who is aware of and understands that th

If you serve, lower the sim speed (assuming I understand things correctly). Demigod isn`t really apt for twitch gaming anyway.
Possible. Or just remove the item. Almost every Demigod has some type of means by which to deal with masses of enemy anyway. Parasite egg is - at the most optimistic best - redundant in that light.
Not true Elarain. You avoided having to attack his Minions directly, meaning all your attacks landed on the General instead of his/her buffering Minions. And the cost to re-summon those Minions is considerable; by the time I have them back and enough energy to cast abilities upon you (starting my attack in earnest), you`ve got that damned Egg ready to go again. ferm1nc, All damage you deliver to the Demigod is *also* delivered to his/her Minions, no matter where they are or in
1. New item arrays. I can`t emphasize enough how fresh such would keep Demigod - given the effect of items being comparable to the effect of the incorporation of new emigods themselves and new maps, I can`t see such not being a boon to the longevity of the play experience. Shake things up. Randomized item lists. 2. More multiplayer participant information. We need more information about what exactly is occurring at any given point in a multiplayer game. I n
A link to a presentation on Majesty 2... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CimDcZ5dhB0 Also, Majesty 2 is being polished... a second quarter release will not happen, but we`ll have a better game for it.
Thanks for the cheap 'Guest' copy Stardock! Way to make me buy again! (hey, wait a minute...) (grin)
People need to care about "excuses"... we live in the real world with real limitations. Demigod in my experience is *not* a failed multiplayer effort. Yes, it is unfortunate that things still need to be worked out. But the point in referencing something like WarCraft 3 and Blizzard is (to my mind at least) a point of resources: does anyone think that Stardock and GPG can match the awesome assets wieldable by a company like Blizzard? Yes, cash isn`t everything, but we need to temper ex
There are a few balance issues that need adressing. The recent Erebus tweak proves you're aware of this, but there one thing in particular I'd like to bring to your attention: Currently, Snipe can target a building in the fog. This means that, at any time, Regulus can take a potshot at the citadel. This may not seem like a big deal, and with a single Regulus it generally isn't. I tested in single player, and
Pathfinding bugs (such as getting hung up on architectures/map edges) as someone else already mentioned would be a priority as well. Complete removal of Parasite Egg... More Favour Points? I disagree with that... if anything, I`d like to see more long-term options for making use of Favour points. Increase the cost of Ashkandar`s Sword to 23,000. Life Drain should only work with melee attacks, not ranged attacks. Oueen Of Thorns being the exception sinc
If you hunt around you can find a very good interview with the music composer. Scheduled for release in the second quarter of this year, so I`d say we`ll see this soon. If there was a pre-order available for this one, I`d be all over it...
Played a quick skirmish. Four players joined (total), 2 dropped out once the game began loading the map but before play had started. The game was rock solid for us remaining two.
Yes - and built-in Voice Comms would be nice (although Teamsqueak 2 works well enough).
A toggle for A.I. difficulty, allowing or disallowing cheating/handicap modifiers. I can get supremely frustrated when despite superb tense tight 'crackerjack' playing the A.I. players are all keeping pace with me or even progressing better than I Gold or Experience-wise. Again, I can handle tougher A.I., but I want to see it fair. More variety in A.I. activities would be an arguably better way to look at the difficulty subject, imo.
No problems connecting to a single other player in Custom games. Instantaneous. Will try random Pantheon later.
