quoting post I like the way they do business and I like them as a company, since Galciv 2 I just bought the game as soon as I heard about it and figured I'd like it. I haven't found one I didn't enjoy yet, flaws or not. Well, that's not surprising, considering the fact that the first game since GalCiv 2 that stardock has developed was... There's already a couple threads about this, I'd recommend finding one of them for a full story. Short answer, it's because the beta keys are disabled. You should be able to get it when it's ready (non-beta) which may be tonight. Edit: I'm slow. Oh well.
"restarting my game" is not the same thing as "start a new game". If you're loading a saved file, it wouldn't work.
I'm pretty sure most good games can work as epic story generators.
I think the answer to that would be "not very easy". Unless it's something that they specifically allowed for, and I'd think we'd have heard about it if that were the case.

Wow. When I saw the threads about Best Buy's exclusive stuff, I figured I'd been putting Stardock up on a pedestal as a paragon of virtue in the industry, and you were succumbing to more exploitative business philosophy. I'm glad I was too quick in doubting you guys.
Quoting Randorama, reply 9I'd rather see a roughly written but polite and constructive post from a non-native English speaker (or a native English speaker for that matter), than an ugly, angry rant in stellar English anyday. Actually, I think it would be pretty awesome to see a well thought out rant with varied, creative language and stellar grammar... But the odds of that happening are less than getting struck by lightning... T
Anyway, I'm pretty sure all languages have periods. Probably, though in English we call them a full stop.
In fact we don't, normally. Perhaps you're thinking of some odd local dialect? Regardless, any reputable academia teaches the proper word when teaching small children to write, so your local variant will likely fall out of favor with increased educational standards.
Well, this got really pathetic really quickly.

WIS is what Willpower is derived from, Raven. So, a WIS based save. And I don't know that there's no horniness modifier. I would imagine that's a calculation that would happen under the hood. It would be sort of immersion-breaking to be told "Your sovereign has received +8 Horniness!"

Long story short I had heard about this game and wanted to check it out. Didnt have a good idea of the release date, I actually thought it was in September. Today I was in a store, saw this game and bought it. I came home, installed it, and immediately was greeted with a box saying "the gam

You could try uninstalling it and Impulse, disconnecting your internet, and reinstalling. It could work. I don't see why it's not working in the first place though, unless you tried to update the game.

I'll probably make a fairly bland self-based character at first, just to try out the system. Unless I get a cool idea when looking at my options, and just roll with that.
Impulse works more like an online store in many cases. When buying things, that's how you should expect it to function.
umm... you CAN... you just buy it through Impulse, and order the boxed version - they will send you the cd-key via e-mail
The problem with that is that then you have to pay for shipping. And it's not necessarily very cheap. It shows an estimate of ten dollars for me, I don't know how it is for folks in other parts of the world.
They should get there Tuesday. Whether they actually do may be dependant on the delivery company.
