Well to explain the depressing state: a. The site got a new interface that is not quite stable, as was the previous one to say. I often get tons of errors messages and forums don't always work. b. Alot of good people i hear them leaving (already 5 skinners gone, maybe more to follow). But that's maybe cause i caught the site at a bad time. c. There is still no PM system implemented to the site. A site this large should have already develop a code for this. d. The rating system is

I'm enjoying this site as well. I have been for a long long time, since it's my 6th year around here. You are right that size does not correspond to better quality, but people's attitude does. It's just that i have this constant complaint that members don't really interact much. If you need particular stats i can say to you that in 6 years here i commented 1135 times (most of them being Thanks for a Wow or Great), whilst in less than a year over at DA i already gave 5700 meaningful comments. Basj i left for a combination of reasons: a. Unfair treatment of many members here, like yourself. b. Existense of the Ratings System and Top 100 Lists. c. Way limited members interaction. d. Elitisism tendensies of certain members. e. Too much administration intervention. f. Site issues. g. Expensive subscription. But i don't keep any bad feelings for the site. I still come back from time to time. Alas my new home is much warmer and humane. <img src="http://

We are used to call WC as a community...still does this really apply to the site? A definition of community could possibly be the aggregate of persons with common characteristics such as geographic, professional, cultural, racial, religious, or socioeconomic similarities. Communities can be defined by location, race, ethnicity, age, occupation, interest in particular problems or outcomes, or other common bonds. The main bonding element of communities is communication, hence the l

You need stats? Here are some: Sitehits: 270k, Rank 54. Article Points: 44k, Rank 67. Skin Comments Given: 1135, Rank 44. Total Dls: 850k, Rank 34. Years on WC as member: 5. Years around WC: 7. Title: Master Apprenctice. Worry not man. Eventually you'll find out that titles don't mean anything actually, nor do rules & regulations apply for everyone here. It's the members interaction that counts. That's why i left. <img src="http://image

So here goes the inquiry: What is the difference between: a. Stardock DeskScapes or Dream: http://dream.wincustomize.com/ (Date of Creation: 2006) b. Microcyb DreamRender: http://www.dreamrender.com/?m=about (Date of Creation: 2003) From my point of view they both do the same work, producing animated wallpapers. Only thing is that DreamRender works in XP (an

Em...for some reason i don't know my e-mail has just received 15 e-mails from WC all informing me that a member of my watchlist has just released a new skin. I'm not familiar with this personal informing system, yet i've noticed that the e-mails are not intended for me as the name of recepient is not mine, but of other members here in WC. Hope this is helpful for those guys messing with the site's well being and maintenance. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 A
