Welcome to the Poll! It is a bit of an experiment I am making and I want this thread to be fun. ( because polls are fun! ). Rules! The rules are simple, I provide a list of stuff that could be improved in the game and you guys vote for what you think needs the most immediate attention.&n

Im not sure about calling it Rock paper scissor but i feel any good strategy games i played had a good counter- strength and weakness system. It creates strategic challenge and adds to the game and replay value. Be it Starcraft, GalCiv 2, Civilization etc. They all have a counter system that forces you to react to what the enemy has and in a more general manner makes it an advantage to have varied type of units. FE in the actual state is mostly Strength beats weakness and that

Cannot access my desktop with ctrl-esc: The game sorts of keep running in the background and even though i have access to windows without the game crashing, i cannot use my desktop. The game is running in "full/borderless window mode", it is far superior to regular full screen which gets bogged down, crashes, or just takes dozens of seconds to switch back and forth. The game is r

I only played one game thus far but can see where this is going. Off the top of my head i think the champions should have upkeep. And that it would possibly go up with their level. Would make you think twice about having a big stack of them if they are greedy bastards.

@dragoaskani Thanks for the precision, however i have never seen this option using the little arrow. But i am beginning to see a pattern. I seem to recall my very first warrior group did not have armor, then they died in battle. All warriors i built after had armor. Probably because i had a new tech that made it available and the warriors got upgraded. I could probably have then upgraded my old unarmored warriors in the fashion you describe. However i can't give a

After several hours of gameplay under my belt I can say that I really like the game so far! Goodjob! I have a good feeling this can become the game I had been expecting from Stardock back in 2010. As I played I took notes on a paper of all the things that just somewhat got in the way. My first round of feedback will be about this: ANNOYANCES! *Grabs paper* 1. Pre-explored stuff in the fog of war disappears when reloading your game : This
Quoting Savyg, reply 24 I don't get your logic.. there are plenty of games released that don't use steamworks. If your opposed to steamworks why would you purchase those games that choose to? If you don't have a problem with steamworks fine. But if you don't like it.. rationalizing your purchases of steamworks titles only supports the practice of publishers using it.
I am

Just a quick post here: Im a bit under two hours of gameplay up to now on E:FE. Considering how I had been deeply disappointed wit WOM, I am pleased to announce that i am actually having a good time with FE so far (Y). Having more fun than I ever had with WOM. I am taking notes on paper about the annoyances, bugs, ideas etc that I encounter. Will be making more detailed posts when i have more gametime under the belt, but so far this is encouraging!

I just read that email with the Beta invite too. I feel pretty much the same as zwolfman. This email moved me and made me log here and download that beta immediately, even though i've not been here in a year. I used to he a hardcore supporter of Stardock and bought war of magic at release, but was disappointed. Really wanted to love the game but never got hooked. I was bothered by several annoyances that really impacted my gameplay. I waited for a few updates but then the game sti

Yes thats the intuition i have for this game, from being a long time stardock game/software user. Even though i must say the game in its present state is disapointing I have faith stardock will make something great out of in in due time.

MoM used to be my all time favourite 4x game. That was before Galactic civilisation 2 twillight of the arnor . But Hey MoM still has second place ! Very close behind in third is Alpha centauri and civ 4 in fourth. Yes i do love an AI that can kick my butt or at least give me a mental workout. So in the case of MoM if you want that you can try beating the game with a crappy race instead of spamming paladins with high men.

Very good observations, I agree to all of this. Other things i find annoying and would be easy to fix are : 1. Cannot mass select units. ( like double click on a unit to select all ) or maybe shift click two units to select em and all in between. 2. Cannot speed up combat animation, or did not find how to yet. ( Those battles can get long ) 3. When shopping equipement for you heroes. Would be nice to have your current equipement screen to compare values
