Recommended Ship Mods in Modding GalCiv2 Forums

I was mainly wondering this because, so far, designing ships is my favourite part of the game. However, I was looking for some extra components for them, but most of the seem to require Dark avatar. I have the collecters edition stuff as well, though I am not sure what bits these add. Any suggestions?

It hooked me with the shipyard part of it. I really want Dark avatar for the extra parts Off-topic for a sec: What parts do the Collecters edition and bonus pack, and do you need to research something to get them?
