Ooops! Sawwy for misunderstanding what you said sir. I've read that the expansions to the game have a lot of difference from DL. I wonder what those are? Honestly, this broken search function of the site is really annoying as I cant search for stuff which might already be answered :( Also, the expansions dont have their own tutorials ? hmph! So I have to re-learn stuff before trying out either expansion I suppose

WIllythemailboy, sir, ty for taking the time off to reply, but I would respectfully like to ask how exactly can I " It's *FAR* better to have 100% spending on 10 worlds and 0% on others than it is to fund all at 80%" ??? (I know I am being really dense here, I apologize profusely. Sole Soul, sir, you mean you remembered wrong about the trade improving racial relations?
Ugh I hope I am allowed to ask another *dumb* question again. In the GC2 wiki, under economic strategies it says "A better way of making sure you don't go below -500BC is by cancelling military and social production on certain planets. It's *FAR* better to have 100% spending on 10 worlds and 0% on others than it is to fund all at 80%" How can I cancel military/social production on an individual planet? It can only be changed at the screen where you get the sliders right? Or does the quot
WIllythemailboy, sir, so the only way to tell the difference is to memorize what the trade goods are and to look at the building description huh. Thank you for the input sir. Sole Soul, sir, thank you for your patience in dealing with my nutty/stoopid questions. I didnt know trade improves relationship between races, thank you for the pointer sir
Please do forgive me, but could you answer another question I would like to ask, sir? I assume that when a tile has cultural bonus on it, it means any influence building built there would get a boost up , isn't it? Um, do things like Xinathium hull plating get distributed on all planets that one has colonized or does it just affect the planet it was built on sir? How do I distinguish between those things that has a civilization wide effect and those with local effect? Sorry about
Hmm I dunno if I'm allowed to post another question - hope its ok. When I choose a research project the entire empire's research points is taken into account isn't it? On the other hand, when I build something -a ship or a building-it looks at the individual MP/SP of the planet that the construction is carried out?*I've just managed to muddle you up again :p*
Tyvm, both of you, for being so patient and helpful :) CaptainYar,sir, I'm trying to search out the thread you mentioned, but the search button doesn't seem to work.:( Solesoul, you dont have to apologize about the bolding- its cool.Gawd this game is so complex and I suck at strategy big time *sniff*. Ty for the detailed reply though. I am going to have to read it a few times to gather in entirety the meaning of what you put down- English is not my first language hehe</p
Thank you sir, for the pointers.:) I have a doubt though sir- I read somewhere that unused social output is transferred to military automatically, so I thought if I put the focus on social, and there is no buildings being constructed, the social production would be automatically diverted to the military production. *I hope I didnt word my thought in a bumbling confusing way*.
Wheeeee! Tyvm sir, for that nice explanation :) .And the screenshots too hehe. In all labs I set it to 100% research and put focus on social?*I'm being a dim bulb*
Oh thank you sir, I cant remember any other symbol right now.*sheepish grin*. What about the strategies sir? Perhaps you remember a link for that (hopefully)?
Hi folks :) This is a newbie post about the icons that are shown around a planet- the manual explains some of the symbols but I have seen atleast one symbol that it doesnt talk about(It looks like a crown I think, is that the symbol for your home world?). Could someone kindly post a link to what the icons mean, please? Also, I saw some posts arguing about all lab/all factory strategies but I dont have a clue what they are or how to implement them. I tried searching the site bu
Ty so much everyone, for the quick replies :) I followed all the pieces of advice and now it's all A-Ok .Ty again.
Hi :) I've made a few ships during the missions and those ship designs come up in the next mission too and I actually dont want that.(Somehow it makes things hard for me).Is there a way I can delete the user made ship designs? I tried deleting the designs present in My Documents/My Games/GalCiv2/Ships but that doesnt help.Could someone kindly tell me where to go to delete the user created designs?
Wow thank you sir, thats exactly what I was after hehehe.Ty for the very clear example, I am saving this page, so there!(I am infringing your copyright :p)
Oh ok sir so its actually impossible to send a ship beyond its range, I take it.If I may, could I ask about the Industrial capacity slider too? There is no explanation of it in the manual as far as I could see, and from the net I am gathering the impression that the slider actually is an industrial/research capacity equalizer? If I put it on 100% that would mean no research will get done? Ty for your patience
Hello I'd tried out GC2 a while ago and just came back to it, so I am still a newb, and I'd like to ask a question. In the mini map there is a button that says 'ship range' and I thought it showed the limit to which the ships could go? But I ended up sending my ships further than that.(I am playing the original game's first mission).I couldnt find much about this in the manual :( Could someone kindly explain about the ship range limit shown in the mini map?
Hi everyone:) Thanks for replying.Reading through all the posts, I guess I neednt get too distressed about the Tech rating? I am a rank newbie and I just research a few cheap techs at first and then go for something more time consuming.
Hello In the pop up messages that tell you how your military/economic.... ratings are, I always get a lowwww technology rating (I aint telling how much ).How do I get the technology rating up? Just research a helluva lot? Should I be not trading my researched techs?Could someone kindly guide me a little bit here please?
Oooh okies. Ty for clarifying, sir
Hi I am trying out GC2-dreadlords and have a question regarding the tech tree.I am just starting on the dreadlords campaign and in the tech tree, in the weapons dep.,I get only the beam weapon theory, I dont see any missile weapon or mass driver options. Is it normal in the campaign?
