Where's the screenshot gallery? Click on "Explore"...ignoring the dropdown list...then scroll to the bottom of the page and it's listed in "Other." That is the only way I was able to find it and the rest of the galleries.
Oh wow. It took me this long to realize that you can click on explore and get different options than hovering over it. Nice. [e classic];P[/e]
You mean like this?
Yes. I saw that. [e digicons];)[/e] I was referring to the same section on the right side. The view you show doesn't display DL counts, either. Also, the "Top Skins" section on the right is the only section on the right that lists the skins rather than show a thumbnail. And now that I've gone and dug in a little more...
I like the look and feel of the new site; however I must say that I also think the old site is a bit easier to navigate. When the current WC was launched the biggest complaint was the navigation. I do find it surprising that some don't like the new system. How would you improve it?
Well, there are some areas where skins are mentioned instead of displayed , as depicted below. <img src="http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/849/wcbeta1.j

Jim, OD in its current state does not handle that kind of dock very well. I would recommend having a fairly simple dock with beveling/shadows/gradient for your zoomer, and incorporating a tile to overlay that zoomer. You can jazz up the tile however you want. As far as tabs... I'd say keep it as simple as possible. Try to come up with something that will compliment the overall look--don't try to force that pattern to work. Just as soon as you get a complex pattern like that to work, y

I have to say that I have a real hard time finding good, useable IconPackages. Just about the only 2 I ever use (and always go back to when I do use something else) are Aero Midnight and Cosmos. Cosmos is a Master Skin. It supports live folders and is a beauty of an IP. Aero Midnight comes as part of Theme Manager. Junior also is a pretty good one, and I believe it supports live folders.
The ability to have a preset icon height so that the icons do not ride so low on the dock and each individual icon canvas size does not need to be lengthen vertically to make it ride higher on the dock.
That would be a problem with the code of the particular dock you're using; and that code is determined by the skinner who made it.
there is no reason why ObjectDock should be so simple it how it renders the dock background and lacks support for reflections.
Yes there is. OD 1.9 came out almost 3 years ago. Many of the functionalities you wish to see came out with Mac OS-X Leopard, a little over 2 years ago. To enhance OD to that point would mean to release another version; hence 2.0 which WILL have reflections.

Kryo, I agree with you. And here's something that may help: [link="http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/888-quick-launch-enable-disable.html"]Enable Quick Launch in Windows 7[/link] Use this little trick and un-pin all your apps. Then set your taskbar to "small icons" and "always show labels" and you're all good! Kind of annoying that you have to go through all that, though. **EDIT** Haha! I just noticed Dsep basically offered the same info. oops! [e d
OK...this doesn't "make" my day, and it doesn't tick me off...but this is maddening....when you KNOW you made yourself a cup of coffee, and you search every room in the house, trying to find where you left it, make a second lap around the house, STILL not finding it....and then you find it in the microwave 4 hours later when you go to thaw out some hamburger for dinner.
Hate it when that happens.
