This just happened to me. Here's what happened: I had to reinstall my OS, and also OD+ (obviously). I had changed a bunch of settings. Then I noticed this problem. One of the settings I had changed was the "Memory / Speed Optimization" under "Performance Options." When you change this setting, it requires a restart of OD to take full effect. I didn't restart. Now that you mention it, this sort of funky behavior with docks has happened on occasion when I have disconnected from a monitor, thereby changing my resolution.

It appears that the "Explorer Backgrounds" option will be grayed out on all of the "Aero skins." In order to utilize that option, you'll probably have to use another type of skin. A few of them were pre loaded with WB, but there are a lot of them in the galleries.
