Ok everyone, I went back and did the same steps Xiandi sent me and the result was success. All I can tell you about the fix is to ask Xiandi about this issue if you have problems like I did. I'm very new to skinning and won't give any advice until I know Skin Studio as well as Xiandi does. This problem is now truly solved! Thanks for all the posts and all

It's almost 6am now and I have been up all night trying to fix this problem and Xiandi was kind enough to have me send her the .wba file to come up with a solution. She provided me with steps that took a few hours to complete so this is my first chance to post that the fix didn't work and I'm still getting the wrong preview images in WindowBlinds for all the skins I've posted. <span
Thank you so much for looking into my problem and providing a solution. This problem is now solved so the issue is closed. Thanks to all that posted fixes and also for your willingness to help me. EDIT:</
The single close button must always be in the same place as the regular close button. As well it cannot take up "more space" than the regular close button (IE the state frames must be the same size)
The sizes of both close graphics are the same but the position of the graphics inside have been moved so the position setting of the main close graphic would move the single close button to the left and thereb
Thanks for helping 2of3, I made a copy of my whole skin dir and saved it in another location so i wouldn't lose it. Then I deleted the SKSPreview.png from the skin directory and made a new .wba file. I went into windowblinds and deleted the skin and then added it again using the newly created .wba file but it didn't change anything. I'm up
I came across another small problem in placing the text background section in USI2 frame creation. The first pic shows an 87x27 background and placing it gets these results. By adding 20 pixels to the top of the graphic, makiin
Thanks for your quick response to my question. I tried rebuilding the list in Windowblinds but the improper graphics are still there. What I'm looking for is the method using Skin Studio to create updated preview pics for posting with my .wba file. I even tried making a new .wba file and loading it as a new skin with no change. <span style="font-siz
(as seen in the Settings menu for the Start menu by right clicking the taskbar) I was almost with you up until this point, but this threw me off. Please post your pictures, I'd like to see what you really mean. I have had encounters where changing the location for the single close button would have saved me from reinventing the frame graphic.
Sorry about no picture
n making my new skin I made an inset background for my per pixel frame Close,Max and Min butons. I saved the background as a .png so I could cut it into 3 pieces. I also made a different image for the single close buttons using an inset background that was complete. When I applied the button omages the normal ones positioned correctly but no matter w
Hi all, I'm just finishing up my latest skin "3D Blues" and after saving it shows up in WindowBlinds with the old preview images. This is also true when you go to substyles, the wrong preview images show but in the main viewing skin preview window, the skin is right. What can I do to make SKS generate those new images?
So many things to learn about SKS and So little documentation. This tutorial is a blessing!
DocWilsonreply 27I have recieved the new windowblinds update 3 times now via "Stardock Central" but it has yet to apply itself. Just out of curiousity, after the first 'Install X items' did you click the 'tiny' install button?
Yes, I did that but it didn't install itself, it just froze after the download. Please see above for my edit, I was able to get it to install after doing it that way. Thanks for you're help [e digicons][/e]
I have recieved the new windowblinds update 3 times now via "Stardock Central" but it has yet to apply itself. I have gone as far as unloading windowblinds from memory to try and solve this. Any suggestions would be appreciated in getting the update as I don't want to have to get heavy handed and uninstall WB and then apply the update. I just purchased the "Object Desktop" suite of programs last wee
