I am in the camp of I have very little time to mod as I have school coming up and a new job. I think the mod potential literally solves any of the lack of content or bug issues. Bug fixing is great practice for fixing bugs in my mods. Lack of content is irrelevant as I am the only one qualified to really decide what kind of content I want. I am a strong believer in user created content and this game's faults are my advantage. Part of the problem I had modding GC2 was that to change trade valu

I just realized what you meant by on-the-fly and we can't do that yet without modding the python code. It has been suggested by Frogboy that this is one aspect of making a new game that he had thought of while making the new engine. I was thinking you meant just faction flavored buildings which is my first project to sink my teeth into the new xml stylings of the great devs. We can do that, but you would need to exit the game and modify what you wanted and then run your saved game again to do

It is very easy to work in an item for every quest. I like the example of troll and human parts being taken back to prove the genetic link. For the sake of the story we could even have generic token for a quest that is there to serve as the quest item and is merely a descrption of the quest you are on. Easy peasy cantonesey. [quote who="Kalin" reply="29" id="2762727"]Um... am I the only one who thinks that making resource spawnable using essence is a really bad idea? Just for example, say you choose your sovereign with 15 essence, hire 3 champions, imbue all of them, then level them once or twice and put all the points in essence. Now you have 4 people capable of spawning 2 of any resource that you want. Now say you put all 8 of those goldmine in one city and build all the gold resources and level the city with g

I would also point out that it is my mainstay strategy to train three or four very weak and cheap NPCs to be my Teleportation Specialists. After three or four temples of essences are up and running they have like 100+ essence to spend on unlimited teleports. Upping the cost would not stop me from doing this.

I have already been working on a random event that erases all of these types of spells from the game. It would really be a kick in the face if they were deleted from the game or pushed back to a higher mana cost. I think teleport is a good example of a seriously good spell. Maybe the range needs to be limited or even based on inteligence. I would settle for us starting with a less usefulful spell like endurance and then teching up to teleport. Faster movement is a val

Easy fix. Probably already being looked at. Speed of an unarmed unit is higher to start. Shortsword takes up very little of that speed. Axe takes a great deal. Mace even more. Magic users with be unarmed because casting will take alot of speed points up. Staves could give better stats at the cost of speed points. That would give us a very different set of wizard strategies i.e. many weak spells vs. a few very powerful ones. I have no idea about horses as the main point is that th

Well as beta testers we were told that it could last until next Feb. or longer. So to be upset that it was released to other people is empathetic, you should have know the game could take longer. To demand your money back for something you agreed not to get your money back on if you entered the beta, that is where the Gamer's Bill of Rights does not protect you. Nor should it. "If the only thing the sovereign should be doing in battle is run away, why bother have him in battle in the first place?" Archonsod's idea should be implemented alongside mine. I am thinking his would be more functional as alchemy, when mine is more like prospecting (and fighting baddies to win it). That way Civics doesn't OP the other trees.

Okay b0rsuk, I get it now. I am a little slow sometimes. It would be nice to have a hardcore mode as you say, but dynasties should be in both flavorss obviously. I guess I didn't understand because I only ever load a game when there is a bug or a crash. This game has alot of those right now so it makes sense the way it is. After the first expansion I would really like to see a hardcore mode for better imersion as it would give me extra bragging rights and I paly that way anyways to prepare me

If the justification of the resources in the adventure tree are to give an advantage to them as opposed to someone who techs up the civ tree, it does not work in its current state. I always get up to five of these techs as soon as possible even though I am a shameful civic junky. I think these techs should unlock new locations that can be explored by adventurers to gain the desired resource at each level. Adds to the questing and makes it unique to an adventuring minded player. Does t

We need a site like this most dearly. I would hold off though until more people get excited about the site though. I am easy to get excited about modding. User created content is the ultimate extension of any game. [e digicons][/e]

Very innovative farming system. I would be happy to help with your descriptions. Archaic english can be a bit tricky, but it really adds to the setting of this type of game, if you want to use some of it. Let me know when you are ready to write the descriptions.
