I still get an occasional DX invalid call crash during tactical with this build. Haven't had it long enough to get any oom's yet though.

Yes please! Once you've gone through you're 200th battle, you really just want those animations to go faster. That includes attacks and deaths, not just movement.
I want this simply so I don't have to manually run away all my hero scouts early in the game. It would greatly reduce the nuisance of scouting.
Looks cool so far. More specials would be nice though. The Staff getting a defense or dodge bonus would be nice... especially because it looks pretty weak. I'd like to know what backswing does. And with the addition utilizing unit stats like Str to determine carrying capacity, I hope there will be training options to alter their base stats somewhat.
Is it just me or do the wandering monsters almost never attack the AI? I see the AI pioneers walking right past several monster groups on their way to establish a new undefended settlement, and not only go unharmed, but the settlement never falls under attack either. WTF? If I send an unescorted pioneer, he almost always gets killed before getting far. And if I leave a new settlement undefended, it will invariably be wiped out within 10 turns. Yet the AI expands unmolested. This is particular
There should be two special units that spawn randomly at opposite side of the map sometime after season 150. One should be called, "The Keymaster", and the other, "The Gatekeeper". If the two ever meet, then the great marshmallow golem should appear and wreak havoc on the land.
My thougts exatly, sholland. 9 f-ing thousand... Is that just some creature you have to take a bunch of fodder soldiers to to soak up his one shot kill attacks? May as well take a peasant army and a couple damage dealers. I like the sound of giving your troops "abilities". I think that could be just the ticket to making the troop customizations more than throwing armor and weapons at your peasants. Hopefully this will allow bonuses to various stats that won't be equipment related. It
Big crater is the big round one with no defenses. I call it that because it the map is called bigcrater.cmap. It very well may be called antenna in the rts list. In none of my attempt did the AI ignore me. Every time Keller would amass a great army and sweep clockwise, while Blazer or Terron (which ever won the northern base) would sweep counter clockwise, sandwiching me. Since Keller was the real threat every time, I just abandoned my bases as I swept clockwise building more bots at the new
According to the RTS list, I have beaten both Module and Antenna, though I don't recall which ones they were, so I m,ust ot have had too much trouble. The last one I had great trouble with was Big Crater. I think I won it mainly by luck after having tried it 8 or 9 times. Once I realized it was pointless to try and hold any position on that one, I just did what the AI does and rampaged producing bots and taking plants while letting my old ones get captured. A little luck, and better bots fina
This was actually the first RTS map I ran into after training. And while difficult, once I got the hang of how to create a defensible turret point it wasn't so bad. It took me about 5 trys to learn what I needed to do. Basically, I used 3 rocket bots and 3 repair bots at the SE mountain pass where most of the Green troops come from. When set up correctly, It requires little to no maintenance to repel attacks. I really only needed 2 and 2 once the initial high end bots get destroyed, and then
Thanks for the files. I have a question though. Is it possible to use the map editor on .cmap's? I used the unpacker to get the RTS cmap's but the editor only uses .map's, and crashed if I try to load a .cmap. I also can't get the cmap config to work, it just crashes even after registering the dll.
ice find on the videos. I have a hell of time finding anything SR2 related, and there are a lot of files there I'm downloading and taking a look at. Hopefully they are mostly english. I'm grabbing the Endoria vid right now, it's probably just a successfull version of something I've tried as well :). Yeah, just watched it... he's slick. That's what I would call a competitive RTS player. It's basically the same way I won with the Titanium bonus, only executed faster and in real time (I
Does anyone beat this without the titanium alloy? I just ran into this mission and tried it at least 20 or more times doing different things (without titanium or reinforcements) and I think it's impossible for all but an RTS world champion. I can't manage to control my bots in the tight confines, and they can't get LoS on anything unless I move them, and moving them sends them spinning in circles going nowhere. There's not enough resources to reinforce a rush, and the only really defendable s
