I feel the need to apologize to all of the artists and friends for not adding comments to your wonderful works. I always tried to keep up with personal commenting every day possible, however as some of you know my health has taken me away from the computer far to often. My kudos to all of the people at Stardock, WC artists and members that make this site the best site on the web. IMHO Ed

Thanks AV. I hate doing upgrades, but the retail full version costs are way beyond my means these days. Does 7 do an upgrade like XP did over 95, where you just had to pop in the 95 cd to authenticate?

Is the XP to 7 upgrade problematic? I have an old system AMD Athlon XP 3200+ CPU, 400FSB, 2-1Gb DDR dual channel ram. Microsofts compatability tool says I'm OK for an upgrade except for a couple of drivers. My question is can I run 64bit or must I stay with 32bit?

If you aren't a student then you are obtaining and using the OS under fraudulent conditions. Also the same serial number can't be activated to two different users. Even if you are paying a dicounted price, theft is theft.

We have to acquire permissions for the things we use here at WC so why should there be a difference in this situation. I do congratulate you Jim for the recognition you have been given and that your cursor was chosen, but I think it sets a bad precedent not to ask for permission first. IMHO
