I'm excited to see hockey start up again. With the new rules and salary cap I think the teams are going to be much more balanced and the games will be just that more exciting. However, I feel that there will be a drop off in viewership initially. It could be just a couple months or a couple years. If the NHL is able to get ESPN or another high profile neetwork I feel that the viewership decline will be just a few months but if they get a lesser known cab

Can I just ask, am I the only one who has lost some bits of their articles. My last one has somehow been cut off about a quarter of the way through. No. This is a problem we are aware of. Its a problem with our routines that copy the data from one database to another. The original data is still intact. Hopefully we will

We have made some good progress in the last day or two. We have rebuilt some of the internal handling of the article data which has significantly reduced the number of cpu cycles it takes to read the data. This has increased the speed in which article data is fetched but has also reduced server load off our main database which should allow everything that accesses that system to have increased performance as well. There is still more work to do but it looks like we a

In an effort to fix some of the database issues we have been experiencing we have just updated our systems in the way the forums and article posts are handled in the database. Everything works the same way from your perspective but the way we are storing and fetching the data has been changed. Because of the change it is possible there may be a few problems that occur. So if you have any problems with article/forum posts please let us know here.

Right now its happening on a specific server and I'm having to do this once or twice a day. We have seen the problem before but it was not nearly as frequent (once a month). I have a feeling that it I re-upload the whole project that it might go away but we are still testing our other server issues so I'm reluctant to make too many changes at once.

Who in the world references anything by a name of dxzxewew? Microsoft! This is a bug in ASP.Net. Somehow their compiled file for the website gets corrupted or deleted and thus it generates the above error. All I have to do is edit it and resave it and it recompiles the file and all is fine.

We are still in test mode in determining the problem as we have not isolated it yet. We are turning JoeUser back on today and hopefully with a bit of luck it will run problem free.
