WC Updates (5-20-05) in Developer Journals WinCustomize Forums

Ok, I have managed to finally turn my attention towards WinCustomize today and have a few updates to report. :) I think I finally have fixed the broken smileys in the main thread/topic/post. Posts previously made will still have broken images but new posts should work. (fingers crossed) Logoff bug should be squashed Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Unfortunately for the last couple of weeks we have been busy with a couple of other projects that have taken our attention away from WinCustomize. We should be completing those projects in the next day our two and will be returning our attention back to WinCustomize to continue to clean up these problems. The links you are seeing our paid advertisements. Normally subscribers should not see them but due to some problems today I have WinCustomize running off of a secondary server running using slighty outdated code. I was not able to get everything updated today so that is why you are seeing those links. It will be cleared up tomorrow.

The system is the same, we have tracked both numbers but have only displayed the unique download stat until now. The rankings are still based off the unique total. For those stat fanatics who keep track of all their stats we have just added a new download stat. The old system reported the total number of downloads, but actually that number really represented something closer to the total number of unique downloads. An update to the Points system problem in Blogging JoeUser Forums

Ok, we have identified a problem with one of scripts that was timing out. Because of this timout issue not everyones daily points were being saved to the archive (which is where the stats are read from). The script has been changed and should run properly tonight at its schedule time. So shortly after midnight we should see the points come back to life.
