We do have plans on making it so that if you have a personal page that your all your skins will show up on your personal page, but only the approved skins will show up in the main WC Library. Of course we would still moderate looking for inappropriate material. We've been wanting to implement this for a while now but we keep getting caught up with just trying to keep the sites running.

Bugs, I hate em! in Developer Journals WinCustomize Forums

Ok, this week was bug fix week for WC. Most of my bug fixes were related to admin tools so not too many of my fixes will be noticed. The rest of the crew worked on the more visible bugs so hopefully you have noticed some of thoe fixes already. But let me list some of the issues I worked on anyway: WinCustomize browser was not getting data from the new server, needed to change a few configuration settings because 2003 server is locked down tighter than 2000. <L

Reply to DOWNLOAD BUTTON Problems in WinCustomize Site Issues WinCustomize Forums

It was a problem due to using the HTTP_REFERER stat. Some systems block that data (especially those with Norton Internet Security) and there was a bug in our code when that data was empty. It has been corrected and the download button on the personal pages should work now. Let me know if it does not.

I will have someone look into this but it could also be that we implemented a system that once some replies after your comment then you can no longer edit your comment. This was done to prevent people from bashing another user and then editing their comment after the other users replied. I'm not sure what error message is being given but that may be the reason. If thats the case then we need to update our error message.

Ok, the WinCustomize browser should be back online. When we moved WinCustomize from a Windows 2000 to a Windows 2003 server there was some different configuration settings that needed to be done that I was not aware of. Sorry about that. I recently added a new server to our system the other day and it was configured with Microsoft Windows 2003 server. When I put my ASP.Net website onto this new server I started having all sorts of problems with the image upload code. Specifically, I could not delete a file that was uploaded. While I do agree that you need to stand up to bullies I disagree with the immediate action of fighting before trying to resolve the problem. You imply that it is the schools sole responsibility to control the bully, however, it is also up to the parents of that child too. In my opinion I believe it would be best to bring this to the attention of the parents of that child. It's possible that this can be resolved first by means of communication by all parties involved.

We are working on a new Article System where the articles are being copied to a second database. This second database will be smaller and faster than our Primary database, which holds everything.
