just cleaning up

Ryan, what browser are you using? I suspect I have an open tag somewhere. IE usually auto corrects this but Mozilla or Netscape may not.

Ok, the stray quote has been removed. (note to self, quit coding late at night!) And for those who resist change I have put the "Return to Message Board" link back. Though it was always there but just disguised as "Create a Post".
Yup. Working Hard! How's it working so far?

By the way, please don't use $$ for SS and refrain from swearing. We try to keep this site clean thanks for mentioning that already. I was just about ready to delete this post because of that.
Per your request SlowNEasy account was deleted. With that all your posts, messages, poll votes, ratings were deleted along with your account. There is nothing to merge.
WOM, next time this happens, Zip up your ini files and send them to me. I want to see if I can find out where the problem lies.
It should work now. For some reason your files failed to copy over to our secondary server. So those who were downloading off of the secondary server could not get the file. I have copied the files over and all should be well.
The FAQ is work in progress. Koasati has agreed to become our official FAQ guy and help us keep it updated. I know he has already began to enter in some of the info he has in his faq and the other admins have also contributed to it as well. So over time the faq will get better and better. As far as integrating it into the WinCustomize Browser. We will have to think about that and see whats the best way to do that. But as Paxx has stated, most people who are using the WC Browser re
"Jammy, I agree that once a piece has been rated by someone, they shouldn't be able to rate it again. " It actually was like this at one time. However, it was changed to accomodate those who continually update their skins. What used to happen is that once you updated your skin, all the previous ratings were thrown out because the skin has changed so the Rating was essentially out of date. This cause a problem with most updated skins have 0 or 1 number of ratings. So,
Just curious, anyone noticing or using the Frequently Asked Questions link at the top of message board listing?
Just to add more. Then we should get rid of sorting by alaphabetic order because that in bias towards peoples names. Or sorting by date because those who recently uploaded have an advantage over a skin that was published two months ago. How many times have you seen a list somewhere where you see people put A or AAA or AAAAA or _AAA in the begining of their name just so they get to be first in the sorting list. That is obvoiusly not a good system. But you never hear of people yell
"Are you being sarcastic, Pat?" Yes, Extremely! "I do believe the top download list and the top author list should be removed, but I think the download number should still be shown. It's nice to know how many time your stuff was downloaded, good or bad. " Thats my point! Ratings is a "different" way to measure the status of a skin. Downloads is not a perfect system. Comments is not a perfect system. Ratings is not a perfect system.<b
I think download counts should be abolished. After all, its unfair that a skin gets to be in the top list of skins just because it received a high number of downloads. How is that fair. Just because it does get a high number of downloads does not mean its a good skin. I see many other skins that deserve to get into the top skin list but never do. After all, some people probably just have their friends download their skins just so they can get high numbers. This is a worthless system and
Oh, and the Rating System will not be removed. It is here to stay.
Motion, There is no conspiracy behind the download numbers. The download count will only be incremented the first time you download a skin. Subsequent downloads will not increment the download count. This is determined by a value set in your cookie. So if your friends had already downloaded your skin then the number would not increase on their second and third attempts.
Oh great, another version of netscape that we have to try and maintain compatability with.
Sounds Object Edit may have been uninstalled or de-registered. So yes, Uninstalling and Reinstalling ObjectEdit sounds like a good idea.
