Reply to Spread the Word! in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

I found sins because I was looking for news about homeworld. If you make a fansite its probably worth adding a page relating to homeworld to pull people in from the search engines eg a page called "the next homeworld" that talks about the good features of homeworld and why sins is going to best each one. We can get away with that on fansites, but it probably can't be done here on the main site. Could also make pages that target other games we can source players from. Then link to them from those

Having played a few singleplayer games and a few multiplayer games now I have to say I'm hooked on multiplayer. I doubt I will play singleplayer much at all, maybe just enough to crack the new ai and test out early builds. On the time issue, is a 1 hr game so bad? I would never play any other game single player for less than an hour anyway, usually I'd spend more time if playing alone! On the rush vs turtle issue, fair enough if you turtle you'll probably lose in the end, but r

As you'll no doubt see from the replay it's going to kick off pretty fast when we pick this one up! Little bit frustrating to see the pirates' fixation with purple, but in other games it'll hopefully be someone else. Derek learns the hard way about fast expansion without infrastructure, that cash flow must have been agonising. In retrospect I think I should have fought for that early asteroid I let Avy take down, could have probably taken his cap out and moved on from

Firewall question in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

I have some friends behind a university firewall that prevents them playing most games that connect peer to peer over the internet. Some games can be made to work through httptunnel and hamachi and a direct ip. Does anyone know if sins would suffer the same problems?

Sins Ladder/Rankings in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

Check out http://www.myleague.com/sinsplayers/ This is the same system that is used for the Civ4 multiplayer community. You can register for free on it, and when you lose a game you report who you lost to. If there's no official Sins Ladder/Ranking system, we have an option here. Any thoughts welcome.
