For the kostura cannon, I would be wary on nerfing all of its effects... With the current stats you have given it, one kostura is pretty much worthless, yet multiple kosturas are still absolutely devastating...a fifty percent reduction in damage is irrelevant (as far as ships are concerned) if you are fielding many of them, as it is more than enough to allow your Vasari fleet to clean up the heavily damaged ships...I feel your changes don't prevent multiple kosturas from

I would give you karma, but .... "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s foes shall be they of his own household." ~Matthew 10:34-36 Here you have it...Jesus Christ, the man himself, saying that Christianity inherently divides people...now, the division he s

Clock speed determines how many calculations your processor can handle at once (or, how fast it can perform those calculations)...bus speed determines how fast your process can deal with input and output... Now, for some applications, being able to do complex calculations very quickly is important...this would apply to say, an engineering or architectural program, which is where quad-cores become very handy...games also need this to do things like load a large map quickly...
I would give you karma, but thats not true. Pentecostals, Seventh Day Adventists and basically all Protestant churches do not believe themselves to be catholics, but are all christians. I would give you karma, but if the female elves are hot...can I join your religion???
I would give you karma, but I am well aware of the schism between Rome and the Eastern Orthodox Church...I would point out that the Eastern Orthodox Church is also called the Holy Orthodox Catholic Church... Catholic has nothing to do with Rome...to be catholic is to be of the original church of the apostles (obviously, a matter of perspective and opinion)...all Christians believe themselves to be catholic, which is why Roman Catholic is an important distinction...
I would give you Karma, but the Eastern Orthodox Church refers to itself as Catholic...but they're not Catholic, so they're not Christian...but they are Christian, and now I am terribly confused...
I understand what you're getting at, and I agree...my fear is that they'll overshoot or overestimate what will be average ...some things, like multi-threading and hopefully 64 bit will be safe bets...but other things, particularly graphics, could easily be overshot...processing could also be an issue if the game starts hitting bus speed limits...you hit those, and it really doesn't matter how many cores or GHz you have...not an issue for most applications, but very
I would give you karma, but I HOPE YOU BURN AMONGST THE ETERNAL FLAMES OF DAMNATION...for your heresy, of course...I mean really, wine obviously is blood...they're even the same color!
Just looked at GRG...duration is 10/15/20, which is pretty short... Given that the subverter reduces shield mitigation by 10% for 60s, I'm thinking GRG should at least reduce mitigation by 10%/20%/30%.... I also realized that the damage propagation I discussed earlier looks a lot similar to vengeance so I'd like to clarify... Basically, vengeance (if applied to the Radiance) only affects ships that damage the radiance, and the damage they suffer is proportional to how
I was thinking using the same stat change for GRG that shield disrupt on the subverter applies...I'm pretty sure it is max shield mitigation... The reason I compare GRG to Nano disassemblers is because nanites are great ...it is a good ability, so any ability that is just as useful is likely in good shape... Nanites have a good early game use, but with the armor reduction, they also have a late game use that scales decently...it's not the damage as much as the debuff t
Raw processing power is not an issue if the game is multi-threaded...which, if it is not, then we have far bigger problems to worry about... The main issue is graphics, where graphic cards can get very expensive...another thing to consider is bus speed and the like for CPUs and RAM...sure, you can get a cheap processor with good clock speed, but for running games, that bus speed can matter if the game pushes your CPU to the limit...and it is things like that which can re
I understand that particular concern, but when related to a game like sins, that would mean you should be limited to playing small and medium maps on a laptop. There is no reason to not support larger maps on a desktop computer with a modern graphics card, especially since the game does not run well on huge maps even now using a top of the line desktop PC. We need support for better machines to make sins(2) run well.

The problem is not level 6+ capital ships, but level 1-3 capital ships. This is the range at which a capital ship needs to shine, because raising a level 6+ is impractical regardless of how powerful it is once you get there.
Oh I agree...but there are few things more satisfying than seeing your enemy trying to kill a high level Kol and epically failing... Animosity and GRG are... okay, maybe? T
You are not alone...the problem is, they'd have to do A LOT of DPS to justify their existence if their abilities aren't good...now, if every battleship was a tough sucker like a level 6+ Kol, that would be intense...
That's what i was getting at, guess I did not word it real well...why envoys and colony ships do this is beyond me, it would seem they went out of their way to program this behavior when it only makes things worse...
Now in part, I'm very sympathetic to you all who have really good computers...but seriously, I mean seriously, I think your understanding of what "most" people have as a PC is a little biased... The people who are really into games and bother to even post anything on the forums are on average going to have systems better for gaming....the typical specs we forum posters have are higher than what the typical person who plays sins or any RTS has... Now, there is a d
I may consider that...it certainly would help capital ships since it is easy to stick a domina on those...but for fleet support, I feel shield projection would be much better... Domina's aren't going to pick target's fast enough to give you good benefit from a buff like PM block...the autocast for dominas (as far as I know) will pick ships that have hull damage or are disabled, and by that time whatever ship the domina is trying to help has probably already suffered a heavy barra
I would give you karma, but it is not bullshit and your blasphemy is disturbing... ...okay, maybe its a little exaggerated...maybe I've committed a few sins...like one...maybe two...
Okay...so, this is probably a very controversial proposition, I know...but, I'm running out of ideas here... Phase missiles are a big problem....the issue isn't their power, that could be fixed if necessary, and in general I don't think they are overpowered....the real issue with phase missiles is that they are vastly more powerful against Advent than TEC or Vasari....so much so, that weakening phase missiles just a bit would put Vasari at a great disadvantage again
I would give you Karma, but I was alerted to my good fortune of clinching post 3000 by a Divine Authority... That same divine authority also told me I'd get post 4000 and 5000... For some reason, I'm thinking Stardock officially hosted the Final Frontiers mod for Gal Civ II...don't know anything about the mod or what had to go on for that to happen and that's stardock, not ironclad...I'm not sure on this, but would the actual action of hosting a mod be up to Stardock or Ironclad? I'm thinking Stardock, but I'm not sure...and after all the bashing on the Devs lately, somehow I have a hard time seeing anything hosted by the community... If an
Okay, so here are two things that will likely be in the next update... Two abilities, Phase Out Hull and Incendiary Shells, seem to be a little lackluster... Incendiary Shells just doesn't seem that competitive with other capital ship abilities...a -.5/-1/-1.5 armor debuff is nice but nothing compared to nano disassemblers...meanwhile, the DPS that incendiary shells does is only 3/4.5/6, which is less than one frigate... Increasing the DPS is one possibility, but that
