Additionally, I'm sure that any worker who didn't go would be relieved

Phoned-in orders and online orders are fundamentally different...when I phone in an order, an employee on the other end of the line is completing the transaction, not me... they , not I, are using my information (such as a credit card) to complete a purchase and will generate the "title" (or receipt) at their location... If I make an online purchase, however, my credit card information and my proof of purchase all come and go through the terminal I am using....bottom l

Up until W8, windows didn't have open betas....
Seems for the most part to be features improving the mobile experience...not that desktop users won't benefit, but it doesn't seem like W8 is going to be getting any new desktop converts...
Yes that was with the original disks... I currently have 2 disks (sold my 3rd), one is just the game and one is like some edition that includes the patches on the disk (so basically, different autorun) and neither worked...even when I tried running the setup directly with every possible administrator/compatibility setting, it did not work.... It doesn't surprise me though if GoG copies (is that the right word?) work....

I couldn't install SMAC/X on W7 (64 bit) because apparently that game installs via a 16 bit installer (which W7 64x didn't have)...I was able to play the game by just copying the files to the hard drive, but there were issues with saving settings... I can however install it on W8 (64 bit) no problem...that might be because I
Assert @ C:\Projects\P4\SinsRebellion\main\CodeSource\GS/Window/Screens/ResearchScreen.cpp(867) researchSubjectDef.m_Prerequisites.Size() > 0 This comes up if you remove the prereq to a tech while the dev.exe is running....there may be other ways to get this error to come up...not sure how this error would come up without you editing a file while the dev.exe is running....
Assert @ C:\Projects\P4\SinsRebellion\main\CodeSource\GS/Entity/EntitySystemHelpers.cpp(735) thisBuff != 0 Can occur when a buff that does not exist is referenced (may have other causes). Likely due to a typo or omission in the entity manifest.

Well, I think part of the reason that there are two "styles" is that W8 was intended to be a panacea of sorts for OSes, one that worked both for desktops and mobile devices... In theory , you can operate almost entirely in the "desktop" styled part of the OS or almost entirely in the "mobile" styled part of the OS...desktop users get their desktop (with the more conventional style that W7 has) and mobile users get their mobile stuff (with the tiles, metro loo
