One more: Software Upgrade Dear Tech Support: Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a slow down in the overall performance, particularly in the flower and jewellery applications that had operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0. In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, but installed undesirable programs such as NFL 5.0 and NBA 3.0. and now Conversation 8.0 no longer r

Who is Jack Schitt? How many of us have wondered just who is Jack Schitt? We find ourselves at a loss when someone says, 'You don't know Jack Schitt!' Well, thanks to my friend's generous genealogy efforts, you can now Respond in an intellectual way. Jack Schitt is the only son of Awe Schitt. Awe Schitt, the fertilizer Magnate, married O. Schitt, The owner of Needeep N. Schitt, Inc. They had one son, Jack. In turn, Jack Schitt marri
Using the same darkWB(EarthHour) that I was using w/FF3b5 I now can't read the toolbar buttons until mouseover. The icons are visible but no text.Drats!!!
Being able to include desktop shortcuts directly in PackageBuilder would also be a fantastic & welcome addition.
+1
I couldn't get 3.99 to color change, 4.0 seems the same way.It creates a sub folder with them recolored in public documents/stardock/IP/package name/colored, but will not apply them or the filter.Any ideas?
This will entitle you to many exclusive features, such as unlimited file downloading on WinCustomize, access to skin ratings, your very own WinCustomize personal website, and much more. WC store. :NOTSURE: A citizen can submit skins, download skins (500mb limit), from above. Which is which? You've confused me again.(That happens a lot) ;p I don't even know if I'm a 4 or a 5 and have no idea how much I've dl'd P.S. If user and subscriber are 2 different things, please disregard this
Since my last post was a little harsh, let me explain.I think people will tend to judge others based on these numbers.(Human nature)However, the Karma points don't reflect the true worth of everyone. There are some ,imo who deserve them, who have little or none.Whom, you may ask? Why,the skinners who spend most of their free time creating, or those working behind the scenes, not posting in the forums. What about support? If it wasn't for Travis, I still wouldn't be registered and milksama dese
I hope you ,your family, friends and pets all made it through the fires ok. Material things are easily replaced.I've never been through a fire, but have been flooded twice.Take care. :D
Thanks, Leo, I'm using FF since it allows me to rate,IE7 won't. I'm updating right now.And yes indeed, it's faster.
I'm getting some weirdness with the IP"Conspiracy" Some Icons have missing graphics in some places.(Incomplete image) I'll try a few more packages over the weekend,so far only this one. I'll post a ss Monday if it's still doing it.
I used a Green Dot card and PayPal for my Stardock purchases and WC sub, w/no problems.
Other than the screenshot,I don't know how it looked before, but I've used it all day and think you did a fine job on it.Great having a choice of wp too. Btw, I found these OD backgrounds match pretty close.[link="https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=13178&libid=29"]WWW Link[/link]
Wizard1956 , Following another thread which I had started ..I decided to go with Webgizmo's recommendation , and try out the AUSLOGIC DEFRAG ... ~ it worked a dream and is really fast , complete with an online report at the end of defragging ....I have 3 160 gig hd's and it did them all within 30 minutes ... give it a go !! ( best I've used in years !! )http://www.auslogics.com/en/software/disk-defrag
Been using it for 2 months now. Beats Windows defrag...by a long shot.
AVG8 Free seems to be as efficient & unobtrusive as 7.5 and it appears that email scanning is a permanent feature, rather than time-limited as some others have posted. No startup/CPU issues as related by Wizard1956; in fact both systems seem to boot a bit quicker since upgrading to AVG8.
I've also heard that about the mail scanner. I don't know what the deal was w/v8.0, maybe a bad download.Avast is still far better imo,"invisible" updating(up to every 4 hours).better UI,
siten0308 please submit a ticket with as much info as possible, date,dl'd version, OS,downloaded from, etc and refer them to this post.Maybe they can get you a working version quicker that way.Be patient,it's worth the wait, and Good Luck yo you.
Here's the downside. 1:People with high Karma are more helpful than those with less.NOT 2:People with no Karma aren't helpful at all.BS Helping others or posting a good comment on a skin or article is "digging" for Karma. You just shut me up!I guess feeling indebted to this site, wanting to help others, supporting Stardock, or admiring that which I can't create is somehow "suspicious" How about you just take that crap off of my profile?I'll settle for a "0" (:(
I'm sorry, but I got that version back by system restore. I did have it archived on Impulse, but wasn't sure how to re-download it. I still won't update til I hear from support. Is a restore out of the question for you? Just back up any changes you've made since the update to Deskscapes first, you'll lose them otherwise.
That's really good to hear about the baby. I'm on a DX kick now, so much great work to choose from. WC is not just WindowBlinds-R-Us. ;) The best way to get your moneys worth from your sub is easy. Download more stuff.lol (spoken like a true addict) :d Take care.
It was just as I suspected: no one is able to offer any explanation for the way things are, any apologies for the way things are or any plans for making sure things won't be be the way they currently are. The sooner Stardock admits that things could be better and says how things will be improved the better. P.S. I'm still waiting to hear from Stardock's Support Operations Manager
IMO,support here is very good. Also Stardock does a good job of keeping customers in
+1 What Philly0381 said! Great effects, using it with Turbo this morning. Thanks,Seabass :CONGRAT:

WOW, there are indeed some nice skins. What are they doing over there? They should be over here. Seriously, that kind of quality belongs here at WC.There's room for xion, winamp and others,so why not? mike b1954,what's the BrainDrain button do,and how big is your "unmitigated crap" file? ;) [link="http://desktopsidebar.com/ffdetails.php?id=629"]WWW Link[/link]
Very, very good article. This is what I expected to see in Impulse when I hit the "more info" button.RightClick is another great time saver/productivity booster. As for resource use:Plain OS(Vista Home Basic)Idle-0-8%cpu,41% mem."Stardocked"-2-8%cpu,48%mem.All above apps-DeskScapes but + SoundPackager,RightClick and DesktopX. It can't get much lower than that. What's not to love? :CONGRAT:
Thanks Darken, all's well. I guess I need to use it more often. ;p
I have seen a lot worse blinds over the years. As far as colors are concerned, I would think that would be a matter of preference. To me it seems very usable, everything seems to work as it should. Once again, I have seen, recently, some really ugly blinds go thruogh (my opinion, of course). This one seem pretty good
I've just stared at it for 5 minutes and have to agree. I'd use it,in it's present form.It can always be recolored or lightened up to taste in WB config. Goo
