Memory use is to 40-50%(typo)Note: That's well over the 512mb it shipped with!I should add,Vista comes with a buttload of running processes.I started with 73-78 with 78 services running at IdleI'm down to 61 now. You'll need to manage these for best results,no matter how much ram you have.I used AdvancedWindowsCare[link="http://www.iobit.com/"]WWW Link[/link]to sort through them all, it does a good job explaining them and optimizing the memory even raised my graphics score.TweakVista may

Pixeleo, you didn't do your homework again. ;) You left out Vista Home Basic,pre-installed on my Compaq. It came with 512mb ram,but I added a 1gb stick when I got it home. With a 17"crt@1024x768,I run a DX theme,WB's,RC,IP,SP,CFX,and most DeskScapes combined with what I'm working on at less than 30-40%,tops.Do you have a usb drive? Try setting it up with at least 1gb of readyboost,it's far cheaper and easier than adding a stick of ram.Give it a another shot.Ram is your biggest bottleneck.Fi

Well, it was rubbing me the wrong way,for sure.Apology accepted. Just to check though, I went to c|net(I'm a registered user)Out of 117 reviews for ObjectDock,10 negative for performance reasons,3 couldn't download(last year),the remaining 104 gave good to very glowing reveiws. Two said they would buy.I fail to see anything negative there. Not one said anything concerning about a paid version. It's not you,Pixeleo, I got the same response when I suggested AVG misled their free version users. X-

I've re-read this post and Draginol's 3 times.Where in your post do you make that distinction? It's now a moot point as far as I'm concerned. I'm tired of being thought of as a scum-sucking,bottom-feeding scavenger who won't pay for good software. Your "sales by guilt " tactics are BS.I've put my icons on my desktop and will no longer use OD after today.Free or paid. EVERYBODY HAPPY NOW? And to think I used to help promote this product. :( Now, you want to Rag on me/us about CFX free as well?
How to save as a new package after recoloring one
Still waiting on that myself. It's creating dup. files of colored ones , but won't apply them. Also, sometimes it changes a total of 2 of my desktop icons, trash and my computer. Is this because it's not a Vista ready package,or do I have a setting wrong? ;p

I installed FF3b5(nowFF3rc) as a back-up and set it up with WC as home page. IE7 hasn't allowed me to rate skins for weeks no matter how much "housecleaning" I do.FF does,so here,I'm on FF ,everywhere else,IE7. No conflicts so far.

On a limited budget, I had to choose between WB's or OD+ and a WC sub with either. For now the free OD serves it's purpose.I love WindowBlinds and don't regret it.( although I did end up getting ODNT as a gift). The WC sub was a "luxury" that I just felt right about doing.I'll be renewing it for sure.(I'm saving for it now) My point? Not everyone that uses the free version is a freeloader,or cheap. If it was timed,I'd do without, not bitch because it cost $20, and buy it when I could. You make the fr
Next time you see them, don't do anything .. just keep surfing the site. I'll bet they go away on their own
They do for me. I'll have them on one page, next page they're gone.FF3rc and IE7, all times of day, forums, gallery and home page.

Bubba Had Shingles Those of us who spend much time in a doctor's office should appreciate this! Doesn't it seem more and more that physicians are running their practices like an assembly line? Here's what happened to Bubba: Bubba walked into a doctor's office and the receptionist asked him what he had. Bubba said: "Shingles." So she wrote down his name, address, medical insurance number and told him to have a seat. Fifteen minutes later a nurse's aide came out and asked
Are you getting a little afraid that you'll wake up one morning and look like this?
Now that's a multi-tasker,if I ever saw one. ;) One question, at the top (under the original post)it has no way to give Karma to the original poster. Why not? Unless they reply, you can't thank them for a good post. Just wondering.

?? From a fellow nOOb, even the free version lets me put a clock on the dock.( I just did to check) I just don't need one, I have one on the sys tray and on the sidebar, and several DX widgets.Btw,some OD clocks come without hands. Maybe for those who can't tell time? ;) I'm sure you'll have it straightened out in no time, and welcome, Mr.Bill. and Buxta :D

I would consider being banned a personal matter and should have been handled as such.Coming here to complain about another sites actions is not only unnecessary, but a bit immature, imo. You don't have to agree with any Mod, but rules are the same for everyone.
When anyone brings up images/words of the Third Reich, they already have lost.
100% agreement with that.
Don't bother telling him that he should have done x instead of y. On average, twice a day.AM/PM .I like a dark desktop at night.I have too many choices to narrow it down two favorites. This is my "hobby" so I play around a lot.About the time I settle on one ,somebody makes something that I just have to try out. ;) It's WC's (and you skinners')fault! And I thank you all!!!

One evening a husband, thinking he was being funny, said to his wife 'Perhaps we should start washing your clothes in Slim Fast. Maybe it would take a few inches off of your butt!' His wife was not amused, and decided that she simply couldn't let such a comment go unrewarded. The next morning the husband took a pair of underwear out of his drawer. 'What the **** is this??' he said to himself as a little 'dust' cloud appeared when he shook them out. 'Honey,' he hollered
