When I play, I am very aggressive. I get a lot of ships, very quickly. I don't tech more than I need to (usually not past tier 3 both trees in an hour to 2 hour game. I expand pretty fast, but I have my fleet size comparable to expansions. when I detect a fleet, rather than finishing what I'm doing, I react as fast as I can to slow the rush down. They have to start at an outer planet anyways, and that will buy me enough time to get my fleet there, especi
lets just wait a *little* while, because right now we're jumping to conclusions.
Time will tell.
Epic fail, sir.
Good that you agree.
Considering the later dev post was FAR more detailed and broken down to NUMBERS? Yes, I think so too. Thanks for agreeing.
Actually, I was talking about the logic of your post, but meh. My sarcasm clearly failed.
I never referenced to any page, I simply posted a quote from a Stardock staff member. Really, Schod, I like you, but sometimes....... He's saying, as I stated, that my quote is from page 3. You are some how arguing with an EARLIER post versus a LATER post. *rubs head* I can see why you're leaving Schod. Some people just won't read.
Wow,
I never referenced to any page, I simply posted a quote from a Stardock staff member. Really, Schod, I like you, but sometimes.......
This is a repost for the people on page 4 who apparently didn't READ page 3. This is for you guy who just thought I was being rude. Great! I already provided a response from a Stardock staff member, with minimal page space, that said they needed to be nerfed. are you kidding me? where did he say that at all? he said everything to the absolute CONTRARY! watson!

Someone from Stardock, eh? Funny you should mention that.
I wasn't talking in theory. I've done it. I do agree with you that they shoudl be nerfed but I know what I just wote works.
Not to mention the numerous folks who've posted in this topic all relating the same issues, and the response from the experienced individuals (essentially) is that they suck, or they don't know what're doing, etc.
LOL. Why am I not surprised about his eminences arrogance. Yep, there isn't a problem, despite the developers acknowledging that there might possibly be one, you guys just suck.
i think it is relevant if they gave sc a 9 and sins an 8.
Not sure why really, is it so you guys can denounce the review as faulty? Never mind that is presumably done by a different reviewer. Heck SC generally got good ratings across the board. Need proof? http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/928861.asp?q=supreme I guess you guy's will have a laundry list of sites not to trust.
i sc had big
Heck, the reviewer even states: "Even Supreme Commander, the first real-time strategy (RTS) game that let players zoom out to get a strategic view of an entire continent or planet, couldn't capture the incredible scope that Sins of a Solar Empire covers."
Why was he not ATTACKING them the moment he saw what they were doing? Or wait, did he NOT see them coming until it was already too late, and the fleet was already assembled? That's called a FAILURE TO SCOUT. If my opponent commits ALL of their resources for half an hour to building a fleet SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO KILL MY PLANET, I fully expect them to succeed, no matter WHAT I have "sitting" at the planet watching them come.
Funny, I didn't have problems with SC, nor do I understand why you are making a big deal about it. SC was a good game, but that's irrelevant. Please don't turn this into one of those "they gave such and such this score, so they suck!!" topics.
Why is it unfair? X3 is a 4x game as well...set in space. With much, much more going on than in Sins. Much older game as well. Even Sword of the Stars had more details in the models. So...I dont think its unfair to compare...especialy when I am bringing these up as some things devs can get some feedback from. Not saying Sins should LOOK like another game, just some ideas...
Interesting, everywhere I go, x3 reunion i
The reason I'm against nerfing the Seize Frigate any further (heh, but looks like I'm the only one here) because again, given the AI OBSSESSIVENESS to Seize Frigate nerfing the ship can have a very bad effect that it becomes a money sink for the AI.
I'm not sure it's obsessed, but, perhaps due to its infinite calculations, realizes that the siege frigate is the best choice. So, naturally, it spams them.
LOL. This topic has provided me much enjoyment.
The mission based system for building favor really doesn’t bother me except for when it gives me unrealistic time frames to complete them or when one ally gives me a mission to attack another ally. The AI players should have enough common sense to not ask you to attack an ally or a faction you have a cease fire with.
Having allies demand you attack another is not unrealistic, but everything else you mention appears to be valid.<br
There was ramming. In fact, there were ram frigates (or were they in HW1?). As well, cap ships could be ordered to smash into one another, damaging both ships (much fun). All ships would attack automatically if put into the correct stance. And the other thing: moving ships often kept themselves oriented to fire their weapons, or at least had large weapons that could fire while not pointing direct at the enemy; and there were distinct advantages to m
Speaking of the Forge, has anyone actually made a playable map? Currently there are several reports where edited galaxies don't work in game.
That's definitely reassuring.
I've decided I'm going to wait for reviews to appear before I run out and purchase this.
Was this topic intended to assist in trolling? It failed....Miserably.
He had a fleet with 2 caps and 10+ frigates, plus some planetary defenses, and the planet was still easily obliterated.
LOL! Even more amusing is that attacking fleet flees.
