Patches making game worse and worse in Demigod Demigod Forums

I'm starting to wonder what exactly did they do in beta testing. At launch I could not play this game online, but I could do lan games using hamachi. With the latest set of patches lan games are now very laggy and the game is now basically unplayable except in single player game. The game has been out for almost 2 weeks now, and yet the main feature: multiplayer, is not available to a large portion of the people who bought the game. I'm never going to buy another stardo

Deleting will work yes, but you lose all your progress in single player mode.

Ok, I figured it out. Somehow my Game.prefs(located in my documents/my games/gas powered games/demigod) was corrupted. I compared it to a fresh one (by starting a new profile). The section that is GameOptions was missing a lot of info. So I cut and pasted the Gameoptions from the fresh file over the ones in my normal profile and it works now. Below is what I pasted. Note that the corrupt version only had ScenarioFile for each gamemode. All the other options were gone. M

Single player skirmish game will not load - Fixed in Demigod Technical Support Demigod Forums

I was able to play skirmishes fine over the past 2 days, now all of a sudden any skirmish I try to create gets stuck at the loading screen. I let the game sit while I ate dinner, came back 30 minutes later and it was still at the loading screen. The music is still playing and the little symbol on the bottom is still flashing, so it didn't freeze.

You need to disable Defense+ in Comodo in order for Demigod to work. See the sticky post.

Can't join games online in Demigod Technical Support Demigod Forums

I have a D-Link dsl-2640b modem/router combo. I have opened up ports 6000-6200, yet I can not join any games, and no one can join mine. I've turned off software firewall and antivirus, but still am unable to connect. Any ideas on what can be causing this?

Confirmed. You need to disable Defense+ in order for it to not interfere with demigod launching. Open Comodo Click Defense+ Tab Click Advanced Click Defense+ Settings Click Deactivate Defense Plus Dialogue Button and it will restart your computer.

I installed Demigod, updated it and everything, and it would not launch. I eventually realized that COMODO Firewall was the problem. I have to close COMODO Firewall for Demigod to launch. Disabling it does not work. After I launch the game I can start the firewall again and everything works fine.
